Finally. I was beginning to see the hospital walls in my sleep.

Um, I haven't gotten a chance to meet most of you yet, but I wish to offer thanks to those who had helped me back when I was fighting. I know it's been a while, but... I only now have been deemed healthy enough to wander about. I would also like to offer my services now that I am well. Though I don't know how much use I will be, but I'll try.

... I don't suppose anyone can catch me up on what's been happening? I kind of missed out on most of the news while in the hospital.

Just a small farm out in eastern Washington... I honestly don't know what town is the closest to it.

So...what's your story? I signed up for an Idol audition, but it turns out it was really to pilot a giant robot called an iDOL.

Well, there are these golem-like things popping up, called a colossus, and only my machine can defeat them. They're really huge... and I don't really know what they could end up destroying if left alone. The first one I ran into showed up at the same time as a group of you guys did... and they lent a hand. After defeating it, I passed out, and you guys were nice enough to drag me back here to your hospital.

Only your machine, huh...Imber's not the only one of his kind, but he's one of the best defenses against giant asteroids the world has.

...Though, we've had to use him against quite a lot of things that aren't asteroids now...

It's alright. I'm sorry I ended up in the middle of everything, so I guess it's even. The... colossi? I don't know if that's the right plural for them. Anyway, it seems like other machines can hurt them, but only Sigil can take them down for good.

I figure it's mutually beneficial for us to work together.

...So, why are you fighting them? The Colossi, I mean. I'm here with Imber because it's as good a place as any, and I care about all the other battles we get in, but I haven't heard from you before.

It started from a need to hunt for meat, but I found it a relaxing hobby as well. It's not exactly complicated, but it's not easy either... Same as any skill.
