12th Striker Unit

(Since her unexpected lottery win over the weekend, which sent her into one of her most shocking sorties yet, Yoshika hadn't spent much time talking, pretty deep in thought over what she'd experienced. Sure, she still made small talk to her friends and helped out in the kitchen during the weekend but other than that her smile wasn't 100% the same.

At the moment, the Fuso native was walking Kaze around the Chalice, ending up at the deck and sitting down next to the dog, silent while petting him at the same time.)

I think you're the luckiest member of the Chalice, Kaze. You'll never have to endure sorties or dangerous missions.

(Kaze whimpered softly, rubbing his nose against Yoshika's hand who moved it to pet the dog a few times.)

...The pandas are extinct. (Yoshika sniffles, pulling her knees up while wrapping her arms around them.)

[As a few more tears drip down Yoshika's face, Yui takes her free hand and wipes them away for the younger girl.]

Look, there's some nice sweets in the cafeteria. Go have one of those, alright?
