A Soldier's Memorial / The Wall
1) [Locked to members of the TSAB and/or were injured during the battle.]
[Out of everyone who went to stop Raal Rovdy and the Death God Zs-a Wia Cheng had managed to get out of the battle the lightest, Despite the level of damage the YMIR took, the Jotunn's state meant it wouldn't be long before he was combat effective again. Which was why Cheng was going to spend the next three days as effectively as he could. Among the things he did would be to visit the comrades injured during the battle.]
We had to deal with much out there... how are you doing?
2) [Action]
[Wandering around the Chalice you would hear an odd scraping noise somewhere. Like someone was scratching away at a wall.]
[Upon turning a corner you could see that was the case. It was Cheng, carving something into a seemingly random wall on the Chalice with a combat knife. It was Azrad's name. And it wasn't the only one there. Ryo Masaoka, Frank Symes and Shouko Hazama. Cheng was making an effort to remember those comrades who had fallen in the line of duty - because there were more than the names of those who were members of the Chalice, those who associated themselves and fought alongside them were on the wall as well - the Fafner Pilots on the L-Boat and Hadou Kozou to name a few. All of them deserved to be remembered.]
Was there a name I missed out?
3) [Action]
[A familiar sight to some, Cheng was practically burying himself in the After Action Reports. But there were a lot of other things as well, a few books about myths and legends, magic, space travel, information about mass drivers and the orbital elevators, agriculture, politics. Anyone who has been on the Asura may recognize some of these books. Cheng seems to be researching almost random subjects that would not normally be connected to each other in addition with going over the information in the previous battles... just what was he doing?]

Dude, I just killed a god.
I'm awesome!

[Cheng let off a slightly tired chuckle... one that grew slightly more amused as he remembered a certain phrase uttered during the battle.]
Heh.. "Fuck yeah I am a sexy god of science and war"? Really Roads?

So...I stand by my statements. And anyone who has a problem can just DEAL.

[Devon is curiously looking over her husband's shoulder on all the papers he's covering himself with.]

[He gives Devon a small smile before looking back to the massive pile of books and papers.]
There is... a lot I don't know about...

Don't worry about me, I'm tougher than I look.

[If anything, the new knife makes it easier to etch the name in, and clean the others up slightly... better to give them a proper memorial than chicken scratchings.]

Surface scratches quickly fade with wear. Such a memento does not deserve to fade so soon.
[Indeed, the energy blade can be run into the wall like it was butter, allowing to carve the names deeply so that they last.]

But... I'll live. I don't regret anything I did out there, Cheng. But then, I'm a career soldier, and a leader at that. I may be fourteen, but I chose this lifestyle. [The boy gestures at the burns visible on his arms.] I'm not going to let something like this get me down.

As I did with mine. I have no doubts you would go far.

...I worry about Nanoha and Fate, though. They're not built for this. Nanoha was an ordinary student a year ago. Now she's fighting to save the entire Earth Sphere. Fate's story isn't mine to share, but in some ways she's even worse off. And yet... they're both so strong. I would be lying if I said they aren't vital assets to this operation, to the entire Bureau, and that scares me. I'm just wondering how they'll take all this.

I'm on pain killers and the doctors said I won't be able to walk for two weeks due to my ankle. Besides that, I guess I'm okay.
