[A strong aroma is coming from Alessandra's room. She somehow found an industrial burner and is using it to brew tea. It took many only several tries to start it up, and she somehow even managed to avoid an accident while doing so. The liquid is drank from huge, utilitarian metal mugs - but she handles them like if it was fine china and delicate teacups.]

Please, do join in! Recent activities may have been stressful, but this will calm your soul.

[Alessandra's friends are downright invited, but everyone else is encouraged to pop in too - the door's open.]

I agree with all you said. Except maybe the last part, because, believe it or not, I don't know the man. How is he a miscreant? Kinda hard to believe that someone described like that is your mentor.

[Prometheus puts a garden hose (where'd he get that from?) into the pot, and starts blowing bubbles like it was a hookah.]

Well... he approaches the questionable hobby of giving others annoying nicknames with such passion and skill, you would think it to be his life calling.

That is an interesting hypothesis! One that would explain the whole situation - except for him being around the House for as long as I can remember.

Maybe he's just a set of increasingly younger brothers, who replace each other when the previous one gets too mature.

There... is no logical argument to unequivocally disprove of this theory. As of now at least.

So, where is he right now? I'm surprised he didn't come with you. Or anyone else from the House while we're at it.

Scouring the countryside in search of Flumen lackeys, I assume. Most of Consenesco soldiers should be with him - and the rest was with me, but they were beaten and those who survived fled from the battlefield.

Mine is not exactly a large House, as you probably realize.

How big are the others? Large enough to take over the whole world by force should they win the tournament?

Let us take into consideration the sorry state of the world as it is now!

No... even united, all four Houses would not have the military strength for any major conquest. We are only a small, dedicated secret society after all.

And pretty close-knit despite all the fighting, if your relationship with the other champion is any indication.

We met when the Houses decided to unify the front on a temporary basis and move out to America. You could call us childhood friends, and you would be absolutely right.

However, we did not have a lot of contact ever since.

This is a strangely enthusiastic approach for someone who has to fight, and possibly kill, her childhood friends.

It is nothing personal, and I am sure they understand this as well. You will die one day regardless, so live your life the best as you can and regret nothing when that time comes.

[And, takes another dignified sip like if what she said just now wasn't terribly depressing.]

That's a surprisingly lighthearted approach to such matters, even for this ship - and that's saying something. I'm not sure should I feel happier, or more depressed.

Well, it wouldn't be so easy to fight my friends for me. Or pretty much any people. I haven't killed anyone yet, and hopefully won't have to.

It is for the select few to fight in conflicts so that others do not have to! It does not make them more or less noble, it is just the status quo.

Ah! He was so well-behaved for too long, I wonder what shanenigans does sir Prometheus plan now?
[Stares at the tiny robot.]

[Werter sounds somewhat absent-minded, because he's observing Prometheus too. The robot is sitting on the ground, drinking/smoking the water, swaying to the sides contently and letting irregular clouds of steam from its head. They form bizarre patterns.]

I wonder how does he do that.

Wish I knew. Most of Prometheus' functions are sitll a mystery for me, in either form. If we took him apart, it'd probably turn out he's made from black boxes.

[Pours more water into the pot with childish delight. Poor Prometheus, the threat of bursting from drinking too much is drawing closer...]

Are you sure that is a good idea? If this keeps up, he might produce enough steam that staying in this room will constitute a health hazard.
