[A strong aroma is coming from Alessandra's room. She somehow found an industrial burner and is using it to brew tea. It took many only several tries to start it up, and she somehow even managed to avoid an accident while doing so. The liquid is drank from huge, utilitarian metal mugs - but she handles them like if it was fine china and delicate teacups.]

Please, do join in! Recent activities may have been stressful, but this will calm your soul.

[Alessandra's friends are downright invited, but everyone else is encouraged to pop in too - the door's open.]

Indeed I do! Tea, like good news, should be shared with everyone you know!

There is a tea set that is very precious to me, but for that reason I left it home. We wouldn't want it to get damaged in the conflict now, would we? Ohoho... Besides, mea archa levis est.

[Sips her hot drink politely. The room is full of Alessandra's property, including a bear rug and really elaborate non-combat clothes (so she doesn't wear armor all the time!), not to mention TWO boxes of various weapons. Take of that what you will.]

But I did not take even a fifth of my personal effects. Only what could be easily carried in Memento Mori's hands.

Well, originally I had the Famulii to help me with the drudgery. But alas, they have been destroyed, their pilots perished or fled to the countryside. I do not expect them to return, but I wish them the best of luck.

I was actually talking about the armor. I know you said it doesn't bother you, but still, something like that isn't really traveling light.

Oh. Heavy may it be, after a while it starts feeling as natural as your own skin to you.

It is probably my most valuable possession, as without the armor Memento Mori would not start. If I were to travel light enough to leave it behind, I might as well not be traveling at all. At least as long as the Houses' challenge is not resolved.

[Prometheus starts building an impromptu ladder from whatever nearby objects are available to reach the pot. This robot has his priorities straight.]

[Alessandra offers Prometheus the pot before he can break something. She observes his reaction, captivated.]

I am not shallow enough to judge people by their exteriors! In such a case, I would consider my own very mentor to be the absolute worst miscreant. He is a miscreant still, but for different reasons.

I agree with all you said. Except maybe the last part, because, believe it or not, I don't know the man. How is he a miscreant? Kinda hard to believe that someone described like that is your mentor.

[Prometheus puts a garden hose (where'd he get that from?) into the pot, and starts blowing bubbles like it was a hookah.]

As a matter of fact, even the Houses themselves have a thing or two they could learn from the Vanguard. Of course, they are not entirely without virtue, even the Flumen.

Oh my, I forgot that I have to explain this each time I meet a new person!

I am a part of a secret society, you may say! It consists of four Houses: Lacertus, Flumen, Consenesco and Accedo. It so happens that I am the chosen champion of house Consenesco - the houses are not exactly friendly to one another, but I know the other champions and we are childhood friends.

Admittedly... my role as the Champion of the House was decided since birth, so most of my life was spent preparing for this very role. It was unusual for me to leave the Consenesco estates until now.
