Fourth Discovery

[The last mission earns Werter a quick stay at the infirmary. He spends most of it, and the time afterwards, applying ice to a huge bump on his head.]

Note to self: treat instructions on fighting in a new environment more seriously next time.

You learned your lesson without dying. Congratulations.

[identity profile] guardian-lynx.livejournal.com 2011-08-11 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Stayed in your room and downloaded the lecture notes there, too?

[identity profile] guardian-lynx.livejournal.com 2011-08-11 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
Just remember there's no substitute for experience.

[identity profile] guardian-lynx.livejournal.com 2011-08-11 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
I'll try to bear on without you if that does happen.

[Nothing to say here. His point has been made.]

[identity profile] turningyaponese.livejournal.com 2011-08-11 07:25 am (UTC)(link)
So... how bad was it. I mean... the movement...

[[Gainer has yet to try going out in space himself... or bothered with the training.]]

[identity profile] turningyaponese.livejournal.com 2011-08-11 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
That so. So, don't you just try to move in the opposite direction instead?

[identity profile] turningyaponese.livejournal.com 2011-08-11 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I know King Gainer doesn't have any thrusters so... I'm not sure how it'll even work in space. I haven't had the change to head out there. I'm hoping I don't have to either...

[identity profile] turningyaponese.livejournal.com 2011-08-11 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
You're talking about the Photon Mat Ring, right?

It's not a halo... [[Nope, not admitting that.]]

[identity profile] turningyaponese.livejournal.com 2011-08-12 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
There's probably too many things with the same name. Don't those Angel girls pilot robots with the same name as the one that cause a whole lot of damage years ago?

[identity profile] turningyaponese.livejournal.com 2011-08-13 07:28 am (UTC)(link)
It's a Photon Mat ring, not a Halo...

[identity profile] turningyaponese.livejournal.com 2011-08-14 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
I think Prometheus would actually be jealous if there was another one. Besides the one in mythology...

[identity profile] turningyaponese.livejournal.com 2011-08-14 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't say that... You never know what people will name their things.

I guess you're hoping not to meet them then?

[identity profile] turningyaponese.livejournal.com 2011-08-14 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Or some unhealthy fixation on that mythology.

Oh, you still didn't tell me how bad Prometheus flailed about in space trying to stop. Or did you do more flailing than him?

[identity profile] azure-savior.livejournal.com 2011-08-12 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
So your robot can't handle too well in space, can it?

[identity profile] azure-savior.livejournal.com 2011-08-12 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
To be fair I've heard of quadriplegic wrestlers so I guess that means there'll be hope for you yet.

So then, what'll you be doing to remedy the situation?

[identity profile] azure-savior.livejournal.com 2011-08-12 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Good to know. And I'm sure you could just use a lifeline or something if you really needed to.

[identity profile] azure-savior.livejournal.com 2011-08-13 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Alright then. Sounds like you got a plan down pat then.

I take it then that this means your machine can't fly and probably sinks like a stone.

[identity profile] azure-savior.livejournal.com 2011-08-14 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
I'd suggest you check as soon as you can, though. It'd be better to know if it could be an option or not in battle.

[identity profile] azure-savior.livejournal.com 2011-08-14 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
Actually I was more suggesting a lake or something. Water pressure can get brutal if you go down too deep, and we don't know how it handles under water yet.
