[So then... why is Kazuki out doing patrols right now?  Because he needs to honestly do something to keep his mind off of what happened just a few days ago.  And who knows, maybe there are some straggler Festum that need a good murdering.  He's still alive, so he might as well make use of that life as the Lindwurm-equipped Mark Elf touches down on a small island.]

... We should probably check this place out, shouldn't we?

[Kou landed the GP-01Fb right beside the Mark Elf, glancing around briefly. He doesn't like the idea of Kazuki being out here, especially after what happened, but...]

[He lines up a shot and aims to fire, but the creature's already attacking, letting its tentacles stab out and even though dodges it still gets one of his arms! Kazuki winces from the now-familiar feedback, struggling to reposition himself.]

[Kou's never seen a Festum before, so he's trying to boost out of its reach and fire its beam rifle at the creature.]

[That beam rifle's got help from Roads' shotguns, right away.]

[The beams and shots pelt at the Festum, tearing it apart... but several more begin to appear from behind it. Tentacles and black holes begin to lash out every which way, the voices coming in much forcefully now, all but begging for a response.]

Are you there?

[One of them moves towards the damaged Mark Elf, crystals beginning to emerge from its head.]

[Aaaand that pain in Kazuki's eyes is starting to prick up again as he grunts out a response to Kou and Roads.]

O-one of you get a distress signal to the Chalice!

[He jams his railgun into the creature's head and pulls the triggers. Damn, this is just like deja vu... complete with the Festum destroying itself in a black hole that also tears through much of the Mark Elf again!]

[This was a bad idea! Kou's going to race towards the Festum attacking the Mark Elf, unsheath its beam saber and lop off anything attaching to the unit.]

[And the Zweilicht's jetting up and away, trying to get away from that troublesome Minovsky interference.]

[Indeed things are looking bad... and before they get any worse suddenly a beam rifle shot is fired out from an unexpected angle... and standing there is an aquatic mobile suit. In fact, even more are coming out of the water and opening fire on the Festum, tearing into them before a blue Fafner makes its presence known.]

Like shooting fish in a barrel. Primary targets eliminated.

[The figure shows up on the screens then, looking rather cool about all of this as the Forbidden Blues stand down.]

Guess all that's left would be to secure the Nothung model then...

[Kazuki meanwhile is just gritting his teeth in this situation. With the Mark Elf so damaged, Kou would have to carry the brunt of this... and he couldn't do something like that.]
