Hi everyone, I'm back. I had a restful trip and mom and dad send their best. I had to go back to refresh my excuse for staying with you all, and they seem all right with it. I brought cake, so please take some. There's about three in the fridge, and it's enough to feed everyone as long as they limit themselves to one slice each.

[2] Nanoha was back to full strength, despite the downer mood everyone was in. She had gone out to the practice rooms and she was knocking a juice can around with a Divine Shooter. Raising Heart was counting down the numbers as well.

[21, 25, 34...]

Once she got to 100, she knocked it into the trash, or at least tried to. "Awwww it bounced again?"

[3] Nanoha's been picking at her food, not really hungry as she worked on some math homework. She had returned with an armful of homework and she promised her mom and dad she would get it all done. Currently she was working on some mid-elementary math problems. The page was already half completed and she had scribbled trig equations in the lines.

All right! Glad to hear it. [Nanoha smiles as she pats her hand.] You're really brave by the way.

[Hana blinks, surprised]

Y-You think so?

Mmhmm! [And a little nod.] You're finding your way in this life now. That takes courage. I remember when I found my magic. I had Yuuno, and you have Eri, right?

Ah, y-yes I do. And I'm glad I have her... really glad.

[she can't help but blush.]

[Sitting down next to Hana, Nanoha looked over at her.] Hana? Can I ask you something? What does it feel like being in love? I don't really know how that feels yet.

To be in love? [she blinks in surprise, then takes a thoughtful look.]

It's... a wonderful feeling. It's something you really just can't expect to happen overnight. That feeling of knowing that, no matter what happens, there's always that special someone waiting for you...

Why do you ask?

Well I see a lot of couples on the ship, and I just wondered if it was just easily done. I don't think I could fall in love so easily though. [Nanoha giggles.] I'm just 9 and all.

Heh... I think a lot of people here gravitate to others because of what we're dealing with. Eri was my first friend and... well... after two mistletoe incidents, we decided to try to be a couple.

And it's worked. She's been an anchor for me.

But, yes, you're only 9. Give it a little more time.

[Nanoha giggled and nodded.] Right! I've got plenty of time.
