[[That's all he had to say about that! It was too brief to be meaningful, but, when has Gainer EVER called people to get their machines? Never, that's right.

It was this recent announcement about moving in to take out Adventus once and for all. For him, this was the "Final Boss", and what's the one thing a gamer is going to go before fighting the boss he knows is coming?

Grind.

And it's not that Cynthia needed it herself, but, between him and her, the two of them could probably bring Adette up to speed in actual Overman combat. Like HELL they were bring a lv 5 into a lv 85 fight!

I didn't run out, I obviously went into your fictional scenario ill-prepared. You probably know there's some loophole which is what your giant cardboard box of a machine is made for.

Would it have been too much to have built all the ideas into one machine, instead of wasting time, resources and probably lives building five of them?

It sounds a lot better to have one well-rounded robot than give completely specialized ones. Because you're just never going to know what situation is going to happen in a battle, and if you're specialized for the wrong thing... you're going to loose.

No, because having one well rounded robot would be redundant. Venjix is constantly upgrading his technology with every attack, and we need to match him step by step or there will be more casualties. Having many and more configurations will lessen the chance of Venjix outpacing us at every turn instead of having to rebuild a robot from scratch each Venjix tech hardware increase.

It still seems pretty wasteful to me. At some point something's going to become obsolete, and then it's just wasted because it 'used to' be top of the line.

But... I don't know anything about your robot or that Vilgax guy [[that was deliberately said wrong]]

Think of it as having a lot of options, and all of those options combine into a bigger, better system. So nothings wasted.

Not much left for me to do, Champ. I've got the Domi Bits working perfectly, tweaked the beam output so that it can be concentrated into a large shot, or focused into the morphed arm blades for a beam saber effect. Add that to a bunch of Zeon Final Bosses programmed into the Overskill mode, and Dominator's looking stronger than ever.

Wait, we're bringing along your teacher? Can she even pilot an Overman?

I've been teaching her the game. She's not half bad, but far from our level. That's why we're bringing her along.

I don't like this whole... cooperation with the DC. It's got 'Final Boss stab in the back' written all over it.

The DC isn't so bad as you'd think...and I'm pretty sure they can't touch us as long as we have the backing of both Neo-Zeon and The League.

Personally, I kinda admire Dr. Bian. He's got ideals, that man...

That still doesn't mean that once our common enemy is gone, they don't stab us in the back along the way. You could be right... You've dealt with military stuff before. But... the way he looks and presents himself...

You can't tell me he doesn't come off as suspicious naturally.

He carries himself just like President Kids Munt of the Siberian Railway does. I don't see anything suspicious about it...

So we still need to be prepared for that then. And we should still be ready for Adventus themselves, which is what this whole thing is all about.

When Adette got such a curt message from Gainer, she panicked. In a flurry of clothing, she changed from her usual skirt and blouse into her red leather suit, and fur trimmed coat.
She came barreling into the hanger at full speed, a skilled runner in stilettos it seemed.

"Where's the fire?" She blurted out, as she slipped on her yellow sunglasses, ready to action.

"There's not a fire, Adette. We're training. Real training, just just playing video games."

Sure, it really didn't seem like Gainer at all, but... when has anyone ever seen Gainer get serious about anything that wasn't a video game?

"No fire?" She stopped short. "Wait... so you called me over here for... training?" The heat In Adette's face was rising visibly as her seemed to tense up.

All at once she put both hands on Gainer's shoulder and began to shake him violently.
"DON'T YOU EVER SCARE ME LIKE THAT AGAIN! I Though something was wrong!! I thought you where in trouble!"

"SOMETHING IS WRONG? Or were you not paying any attention yesterday? We're going against the head of Adventus, and some psycho that attacks their own allies.

They're not going to go easy on us, and I don't expect to go easy on them. And despite how good you've gotten, you're sorely inexperienced in piloting the Overman you claimed. We've got to figure out what your OverSkill is, and how to used it to it's fullest. A video game isn't going to teach you that."

"Is that it? you could have said that in the message couldn't you have?" Adette look irritated with him, she had honestly thought he was in imminent trouble. "I'm more than happy to be beaten up by you two, but you could have told me first. I would have bothered to put my hair up." She unbuttoned her long red coat as she spoke. Each button reveling a little more of her red leather suit.
"Well I guess I'm here, let's get to it shall we? I'm certain you both have a lot of teach me."

"And you have something to teach us first." About what your Overman does!

"But, I know you Adette... if I hadn't been so frank about it, you'd have taken all day to get here. Probably after drinking too. Nothing better to sober you up than a shock to the system, right?" Wait... Did Gainer just say he knew her. This might be more important than the fact he just assumed she'd be drunk!

He was right, she had been moments from cracking open a bottle of Vodka when she got his message. Despite her upset, she felt warmed by his words. The fact that Gainer was able to predict her emotions meant he did know her well. And thought he was half her age, she did in fact hold his skill as a pilot in very high regard. On the battle field he was her superior, and thought she didn't always act like it, Adette never forgot that fact.

"Me? What could I possibly teach you? I think it's pretty clear the two of you could destroy me before I even had a chance to scratch my nose!" She laughed and smiled.

"Not necessarily. We can't guarantee that until we're certain what that OverSkill does, so... I advise you get ready and get it activated."

Go on, he'll wait for you.

"Good point. I guess there is no better time like the present." She took off her jacket, and hung it over a tool box, before opening up the Power Golame's Overcoat and climbing inside.

Inside she found it was strange that it still smelled ever so slightly like snow, and leather.

It took a moment to figure out the controls, but she had the Overman online in a moment.

Oh? Are we done waiting now? Good.

"You should basically know the controls by now. Kinda scary how it's a lot like the game. Attached to the back of the seat there's two more hand grips. I was in there before, and pulling on either of those will start up your OverSkill. And there's no built in special moves, obviously. You'll have to use your Overman's skills and your own creativity for that one."

Gainer doesn't take much longer to get King Gainer up and going!
