I watch the ripples change their size, but never leave the stream

It was strange that things should be so calm lately. At least, there where no armed interventions to handle, or wars to stop at the moment.

Around lunchtime, at one of the tables in the mess hall Lockon was stripping down a rifle for cleaning, while Haro rolled around on the floor like a child's toy.
The purpose of the location had been three fold: Firstly he had wanted lunch, also the tables where big enough to lay out everything he needed for the job, and lastly, it was the perfect place to watch, and listen.
So mind your conversation kids, you might be overheard.

"For a moment I thought I'd figured out a pattern. It seems that, at least in the case of many of the children, they're pilots because of inspirations from previous generations. Much is the case for the girls in the PreDESU units. There's one is inspired by an ancient television show called Kamen Rider. And I've yet to get a count on those who were left the legacy of their parents."

All of this was just bringing up data on the suits themselves... at least those that had public data.

"I haven't, but, all I can figure is that people want to be heroes, and don't exactly see the consequences that come with it. They're simply out there to save people, and jump into it before knowing what kind of trouble that war really brings."

Yes, and even in the kitchen, there was one girl without pants who wanted to protect others, and held a gun almost as big as her.
