Eleventh Rave
It's like pulling teeth out there!
[Josh is back from a personal trip into the city of Arkham. Partly to check it out, partly because opportunities like this don't come by very often. And needless to say he's looked pretty miffed as he makes his way to the kitchen, hoping that there'd still be some of Rim's coffee leftover.]
The crap I had to go through to just get a goddamn courier to go to the South Pole!

The crap I had to go through to just get a goddamn courier to go to the South Pole!

This is the first time I've had the need to, seeing as how I usually never bother so much as sending a Father's Day card for my father.

Well, if you think you might need to do it again... maybe one of the people with outside connections could help. Commander Jin, or Karaba...

... Well if it keeps Rim's other self from killing me in my sleep I'll do it.
no subject
Is that um... a danger?

Liana, the name her other self is using, uses Rim's body and throws her into situations she doesn't want to, all to just just get on my bad side.

Rim has a second personality? This is a... psychological thing, or something more... unusual?
no subject
They talk to each other. And her second personality "comes out" as it were whenever she gets close to a machine powered by the Res Arcana. And my father took an interest in her you don't see with most scientists.
It's plenty unusual, which I guess is why I don't like it at all.

That's one of the reasons I'm trying to extend the olive branch here.

[Either the last mission is talking through him, or Werter knows about Arkham's reputation.]

The problem was I needed a guy who was willing to go to the South Pole to deliver a message for me. And yeah the distance is a bit much but that's supposed to be their jobs.
... And this is the crap I have to go through to try to build a bridge that's burning from both directions.

... I was told by Liana that he's made several machines, so I... sent a request offering he send one to coordinates where we'll be able to pick it up.
I can't stop Rim from piloting... I don't have that right, but I can at least give her a machine she'd be more comfortable with.
... Even if every step of the way makes me want to punch someone.

Josh. Alright? Sound. upset.

[He sighs and squats down to begin scratching Vlaska behind his ears.]
That's putting it lightly.
no subject
Why. Upset?
no subject
Especially when the person I'm trying to help is my own sister.

[and after a short interlude of silence it occurs to Vlaska to ask this as well.]
and. What. Sa. mar. i. tan?

[Because a cat certainly would NOT understand what religion is.]
Obviously Vlaska was taught that religion is the opiate of the people
Clearly.

Josh? Why were you sending a courier to the South Pole?
no subject
... So your other you has something more her style to fight with.

[Chris looks at Josh with those large green eyes. She seemed really happy that he was at least trying.]
