The Ninth Flight/Back from the Dead
[With the better part of a month passing Ichitaka had spent most of it inside the infirmary unconscious. His list of injuries from his first battle with GreAT included a severe concussion, a near complete arm fracture, deep burns from the cockpit overheating, and massive blood loss. Luckily this time he didn't end up falling into the atmosphere.
Finally though after what felt like quite a long time Ichitaka came back to the land of the conscious.]

[Ichitaka was fidgeting around trying to see exactly how bad his injuries were. Not exactly the best idea.]
Gah, that hurts.

[Lowe gestures vaguely.]
You're in no condition to go anywhere but to the bathroom now. And I'm not even sure about that.

I kinda worry about you always taking a beating like that...

[There was a small chuckle from him.]
It's only been two times now MarKus.

Geez... what am I supposed to do when the co-founder of the Club kicks the bucket. Too damn early for that.
ALSO... watcha wanna do with the axe that fucker left in the Rush?
no subject
[Bravado.]
An axe?

Yeah man... some weird... I dunno... partisan thing was left jammed in the Rush's neck when it was brought back. Like the pilot was straight clownin you.

[The words were said with a mix of relief and sadness. It wasn't like Ichitaka was anywhere near a complete recovery, after all. Still, Julia was glad to see her friend regain consciousness.]

[Of course he was saying this with no idea how long he was out for.]
I'm not in the best shape right now am I.

We're back on Earth, as you probably figured.

Next time it happens I'll find some way to be out there to help you and Haruka.

[Haruka comes in, gasping for breath. She's leaning on the doorframe for support.]
I came as quickly as I could...

Ah Haru-
[Ichitaka just freezes for a moment to calm himself down.]
Hey Haruka.
This Comment Can Not Be Edited Because Someone Has Replied To It
[Haruka gathers herself, and takes a seat on the bed near Ichitaka's feet.]
Are you doing alright?

This is only the second time that this has happened.

On the other hand, Samus rarely does things just out of sentimentalism, and she's still half-Chozo, aka the guys who could reroute the world and do things like heal a dying tree with four runes and three sticks (unsurprisingly, turns out understanding the flow of the universe's energies gives a species pretty good feng shui)... so it may well be an actual help for him to get well faster, rather than just a meaningless wellwish.
In any case, there it is, a little, healthy-looking bonsai to keep Ichitaka company. It seems to make wounds hurt less when you look at it.]
