The Eighth Flight

[As much as Ichitaka wanted to go out and help defend the ship his Super Robot was in no condition to do so. The fight with Granzon as well as trying to retrieve Imber had left the machine rather wrecked. At the moment the boy was repairing the machine on his own. It was pretty clear that he had gained some form of mechanical skills as he didn't seem to have any problems with the repairs so far.]

Maybe I should have been a bit more careful.

[Finally taking a break Ichitaka takes a moment to relax and think to himself about recent events. Needless to say it crashed pretty hard on him when he finally took the time to absorb what had happened.]

I guess so huh. I'm still allowed to have a few regrets about it though.

Most of the work is done, I just have to readjust the engine because of the unused Dimension Storm energy.

While we're at it, any new developments on gramps' kidnappers? I heard you got to speak to Doctor Bian.

Nothing, Doctor Bian didn't know anything about it either besides for the fact that they tried to kidnap him as well. He had all of DC, Gramps just had us...

[Ichitaka was exhausted and angry at their lack of progress. Walking next to his older brother to assist with the D-Converter he finally showed signs of falling apart. There was no more lying to himself.]

I'm not sure what I--we can do anymore. Everyone I've gone to for help has turned up nothing. The only clue we've found has led to nothing.

The fact that they tried to kidnap him too should be a lead in itself. Maybe Shu Shirakawa experienced something similar...

The only thing that Grandpa and Doctor Bian have in common is...being mad scientists.

Kidnapping scientists is not exactly a new things. It doesn't particularly help us either...

It might work if we could find other scientists that were targets of kidnapping attempts recently.

Doctor Bian may not have taken notice of the people who tried to capture him, but maybe the others did somehow...

That would mean going through the Federation and we can't exactly do that right now.
