[As much as Ichitaka wanted to go out and help defend the ship his Super Robot was in no condition to do so. The fight with Granzon as well as trying to retrieve Imber had left the machine rather wrecked. At the moment the boy was repairing the machine on his own. It was pretty clear that he had gained some form of mechanical skills as he didn't seem to have any problems with the repairs so far.]

Maybe I should have been a bit more careful.

[Finally taking a break Ichitaka takes a moment to relax and think to himself about recent events. Needless to say it crashed pretty hard on him when he finally took the time to absorb what had happened.]

I don't think so, in the end I still want to help people along with everything that goes along with being an Ally of Justice but...sometimes I'm left wondering if I'm on the right side.

But you know this side. Would you say the people in this ship are the wrong side to support?

Most people have joined the Chalice out of convenience or they were left with no choice in the matter. I'm not even sure what this ship wants to do anymore. We bounce between place to place doing...stuff but in the end it seems like we've accomplished nothing.

The only time I can say I did something that really made me feel like I was doing the right thing was on another island...

I, however, will stay. Most of the crew has their hearts in the right place. They are also trying to do the right thing.

With some exceptions, of course. I know I will have to kill Aznable when he ceases being useful. The man has the heart of a traitor. But overall this ship has less black spots than most I have worked with.

They were a group who claimed to fight for the independence of Spacenoids. At the same time they went around gassing entire colonies.

What was their given rationale for such actions?

All I know about it was that they wanted to eliminate colonies that were aligned with the Federation during that war.

Now we're working with the remnants of that group after Char ran to them to save face.

I cannot say I am surprised.

I will get Aznable and Karn's side of the story before passing judgement, however.
