... You know... I hate to rub salt on wounds, and with all apologies to Federation pilots onboard, both those currently on the payroll and those that have left...

But it feels like the Federation could do a better job keeping their turf in order.  Since we've come here, we've ran into Adventus people and Zeon too... along with mercenaries I'm pretty sure even the Titans would be hesitant to hire.

Is it always like this?

Both Adventus and Zeon would benefit a lot if Federation was out of the way, so I'm not very surprised that they're around.

I can think of a lot of people who would be better off, come to think of it.

Then again, Britannia's own mech development is behind the Federation's, which makes this place a goldmine for anyone wanting top of the line stuff in comparison.

Gato sure proved that.

At any rate, if he hadn't made an enemy of the bulk of Axis Zeon before, I'm pretty sure shooting someone like Char sealed the deal. Zeon's short on allies as it is, and I'm pretty sure Gato just lost most of those back in Freetown.

Still, this could be a big boon for us if we play our cards right. We bring him and GP-02 back we might just get exonerated for casting our lots in with Celestial Being.

Can't say I'm a big fan of political deals like this one... But I'm an even smaller one of being seen as a terrorist, and an even smaller one of letting war criminals run around with nukes.

Pretty sure we all are. Considering the kind of weaponry people are able to throw around nowadays, I think it's suffice to say most things out there can either be tools to help build or protect, or just destroy, nukes included.

Come to think of it, Adventus itself hasn't quite realized that yet.

Adventus probably hasn't even realized that using mecha makes them a bunch of hypocrites. No wonder such subtleties escape them, and I use the term "subtleties" loosely.

I recall a famous writer once commenting that those that claim to be pacifists while using methods other than rational speech and nonviolent protests to accomplish it are hypocrites, and those willing to sink to murder are just psychopaths. I suppose a same analogy could apply to Adventus too.

Why such simple common sense eludes so many people, I don't even. Humans have the amazing ability of being able to ignore even most obvious facts when they're inconvenient to them.
