2nd Destiny

[Boy, did Kou feel like crap. Freetown was ravaged by that Zeon attack, and in his first sortie with a Gundam, he got his ass handed to him by Gato. Who, coincidentally, ran off with two nukes. And still, Synapse let him use the GP-01 in their mission to find and retake the Gundam.]

[Standing in the hangar, Kou looked at the still-battered and headless GP-01, lost in thought.]

...Gato... I'll stop you. And get back the Unit 2...

[And cue hand clapping down on his shoulder.]

... I heard what happened out there. Caught quite a bit of the footage too. You gonna be okay?

The idea that someone can just fall into a cockpit to a machine they barely understand and keep up with an enemy ace is a ridiculous idea, more the exception than the rule to how such encounters would go.

Besides, GP-01 wasn't fully armed at the time. And Federation security should have been better.

Don't put all the blame on yourself... just take your new responsibilities seriously. We'll get Gato, don't worry.

So then, dare I ask, what are you going to try to do now? I hope getting a lot of practice in?

Good.

I can't say I'm not sure how much help I'll be, but we have a slew of Gundam pilots onboard the ship; including Lieutenant Mackenzie too. If you wanted an environment where you could learn how to bring out GP-01's full strength, this is the place.

[Well here's someone else coming right off that fight as well.]

So.

You're who was in that gundam.

[identity profile] 2good4thegundam.livejournal.com 2011-12-16 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
I was in the Rick Dias.

Have you done much piloting for the Federation?

[identity profile] 2good4thegundam.livejournal.com 2011-12-18 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I noticed.

Do you plan on acting like that every time Gato's around?

[identity profile] 2good4thegundam.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I'll be happy to help you get better.

Name's Sayla Mass. You?

[identity profile] 2good4thegundam.livejournal.com 2011-12-29 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course it will. Not like I've got much better to do around here.

[identity profile] queenmikimiki.livejournal.com 2011-12-16 07:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Aahhh your Gundam is headless.

[identity profile] queenmikimiki.livejournal.com 2011-12-18 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you doing some sort of special training that involves using a Gundam without a head?

[It's hard to tell if she was serious or if she was just messing around with him.]

[identity profile] queenmikimiki.livejournal.com 2011-12-18 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooohhh...sooooo what are you gonna do to fix it?

[identity profile] queenmikimiki.livejournal.com 2011-12-18 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmmm why don't you put the head of another mobile suit on it?

[identity profile] gaimurakumo.livejournal.com 2011-12-17 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
Hm, usually the Gundams arrive intact.

[identity profile] gaimurakumo.livejournal.com 2011-12-18 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't think too much about it, I lost my entire machine before I got here.
fermionprincess: (Ahah!)

Relieved we should be that this was not a Gundam Fight - despite units of that moniker being involved in the struggle! That way, we are still participating despite having lost the head.

[Suddenly, armored and strangely-speaking girl out of nowhere.]
fermionprincess: (Time for a genius plan)

[personal profile] fermionprincess 2011-12-18 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
That statement is correct! However, what matters is not the machine's power, but the skill of one who uses it!

Although kinetic energy, change of momentum and other physical abilities are not determined by the pilot's talent alone so technically the machine does count to some extent after all... however the pilot is still more important, yes!
