It had been a few days since Kamogawa. Yuu's done nothing since recovering from his pride, save tending to the X-Buster's systems in silence. Calling out to him elicts little response, and the man seems possessed, haunted even by some driving force.
...finally, his body finishes its task, and makes its way to the kitchen. Wordlessly, it begins to collect ingredients, as if in a trance. A large saucepan. Fresh noodles. Chopped carrots, celery, onion. Some chicken, beef, and sausage, minced into tiny bits. Boiled, stirred, and cooked...with love.
The legendary Hyper Amazing Miracle Meal Eternal Ramen (or HAMMER for short)...the signature dish of his Beloved Oishi. He'd recreated it perfectly. A small blush creeps over the German ninja's face as his features soften and relax. Slowly, reality starts to refocus for the man. And he takes a taste of his creation.
And his spirit is fully restored as he lets out a yell. "DELICIOUSSSSSS!"

Yuu has hooked up a small monitor to his machine, watching intently while enjoying more of the HAMMER. He's reviewing all of the Chalice's past battles with E,V.I.L. at this point.
"Fungal...Annie...Old man Tesla...and Oishi makes four. We've seen each of the four generals of E.V.I.L. now, which means that we're due for a doozy next time we meet them. " he says to no one in particular. "I still have much to learn, too...most, if not all of these battles would have ended in utter defeat if it weren't for the actions of my fellow Allies of Justice aboard this ship. E.V.I.L remains one step ahead of everything I would throw at them...I cannot let it happen again. The way they continue to enslave cities and populace is twisted and wrong! And furthermore...what business do they have, exploiting sweet, kind Oishi's amazing body for the sake of mind control?!!

[Yuu motions to the screen, showing off Oishi from the previous battle, dressed up as some kind of catgirl maid and surrounded by charmed men, atop a statue in her visage.]
That's her...though she never used to act so vulgar. Oishi was the perfect companion and support to me; She was always helping with research, or cooking her famous ramen for everyone back home. Everyone seemed to like her, aside from my old man.

I know not what manner E.V.I.L. employed, but her pure, innocent aura had become twisted. Since then, it seems not much has changed. She shamelessly displays herself off as some kind of unreachable prize to gain followers for E.V.I.L.'s cause, manipulating others as she herself is. It would be a lie to say I'm unaffected by it...watching her act like some kind of...
[Yuu trails off, his hand tightening into a fist.]
...forgive me. I swear, I will save her from such a fate.

Oishi is more than just a beautiful support...she's also a brilliant programmer and fellow student of Choudenji Science, after all...
Perhaps there's more to their plans than simply trying to demoralize me. Nice, Boss.

Seeing Oishi again...memories of our times together have flowed back into me, and been converted into love. And that love has flowed out into this, the Hyper Amazing Miracle Meal, Eternal Ramen! With this dish, I'll re-awaken the memories in Oishi's heart, and break the evil spell that's been cast upon her.
[He grins, and looks over at the pot. There's still plenty in there.]

A good ramen meal carries with it the feelings of its maker. Love, anger. sorrow... all of it can be felt through the devotion put into making such a meal. Strong ramen can hit all 5 of the cardinal senses, overwhelming a person with such feelings.
Naturally, this ramen is filled with my love for Oishi. Can you see, smell, and taste how important she is, within the confines of a simple noodle broth?

Are their myths of great warriors who used ramen to reach people's hearts, romances in which ramen restored the balance of a relationship in flux...fables in which tricksters used it to distract monsters? Mmm...well, it says on here that it "Fully restores SP".
Strange...normally, ramen fits in the same category as mysterious wall chickens, or the floor ice cream I heard Pit mention...healing the body rather than the spirit. Maybe I used the wrong noodles?
