Kamille didn't give a damn about much at the moment. He had just lost his brother-figure today, and while he would relay Cynthia's message later, he didn't want to deal with Kensuke OR Gainer. Right now, all he wanted was behind the door he was standing in front of. He had been knocking for a while, it was only a matter of time before she showed up.

Still, it was a wonder he hadn't broken down into tears the moment he made it to the hangar.

Oenone had watched as much of it as was possible. And while the battle was far too large (and in three dimensions, different from fighting the townies, which could be visualized on a table) to get any but the most basic idea of what was going on, she could tell one thing: Char was dead forcing Sunrise to come up with completely original constantly heel-face-heel turning antagonists like Zechs, Harry and Full Frontal.
She'd dreaded what kind of shape he would be in. Newtypes felt things very intensely. She opened the door...

Immediately the ravens woke up and demanded snacksies of him. "Huggin, Munnin, leave him alone!" She said, shooing them back to their perches. "Kamille..."

"He's dead, Oenone..." Kamille muttered as he walked inside. "He's... He's really dead. They just shot the damn rock to pieces with him in it, and now he's dead..." His body was trembling from a mixture of impotent rage and sadness. "H-he told me to find my promised land, you know? To find happiness for me and mine. How am I supposed to do that when my brother is gone?" The tears are desperate to come out, but he's barely holding them back. "Haman loved him, Cynthia looked up to him, and Mineva-" God, Mineva. "D-damn it!" He just falls to his knees as the last vestiges of dignity and pride fall to pieces around him.

He's openly sobbing now as he barely holds up his torso from the ground. "We were supposed to be a family!" He chokes out. "The five of us could have gotten away from all of this, finally heal from the scars of war! Why the hell did this have to happen!? Why did Char have to be so fucking stupid!?" He pounds his fist into the floor in frustration.

Oenone did her best to haul him up. He didn't weigh much but neither did she and she was doubtful it would work. Whether she managed or not, she'd pull him into a hug, stroking his hair like a scared pup.

"Don't blame yourself. You did everything you could to prevent this from happening." She knew quite a bit about watching war tear your family apart, about killing your former leader. They hadn't managed to get to Char the way they'd gotten to Fang though. "What happened to Cynthia Lane and Haman Karn?"

Kamille hugged the woman tightly, seeming much smaller than he actually was. "Alive, both of them..." He shuddered as he cried into her shoulder. "Haman wasn't anywhere near the fighting. Cynthia fought with us, I can't imagine what Haman must think of all this." Cynthia, Kamille, Bernie, they all flew Zeon's colors once upon a time. "I don't want to see her die too, but what if Kairos Aspida decides to take her out without preamble as well? I'm not sure I could take that..."

"Haman Karn is...proud." A severe understatement. "I hope she can see the wisdom in lying low for a while. We'd gladly take her in Storm territory." She pushed his hair back and kissed his forehead. "I saw some of the footage. I don't want to sound too enthusiastic about a battle...but you were wonderful."

Kamille nodded into her shoulder, not trusting his words at the moment. After what seemed like days of being silent, he finally asks wimperingly, "Please... don't leave me alone tonight?"

There was a few seconds of hesitation as she processed that question, turning red in the process. She tried to get an answer out but it just dissolved into embarrassed stuttering. Instead she turned her head to look into his eyes and kiss him. Hopefully that would serve as a reply.
