Hades is having fun

[Ever since the defeat of Titans, there have been worrying news of border clashes between the Federation and Britannia. Unknown forces attack installations belonging to one of the sides, then quickly run away before reinforcements can come. Eyewitnesses are certain that it's Federation MSes that attack Britannian targets, and Britannian KMFs that attack Federation ones! Both governments deny these allegations, but footage isn't lying...

Today, a White Chalice patrol manages to intercept one of these attacks! The enemies seem to be Mobile Suits at a first glance, but it quickly turns out they're Underworld forces instead, under illusionary spells. Deception!

Enemies:
Skuttler Suits - fly around, fire beams from their eyes, smash in melee. They're heavily armed from the front but have a weak point on the back.
Monoeyes - several of those guard each Skuttler Suit against enemies who'd try to take advantage of its weakness. They're tiny and fire pew pew projectiles.
Handoras - agile and fast enemies that have strong melee attacks. They can also fire energy balls from their eyes, like almost everything from the Underworld.

The battle isn't very tough, but the damage is done. You can almost hear Hades' laugh as he pits the human countries against each other.]

These things are small fry! Just try to make sure the Britannian defenders see what they're really like...

[Laura's flying around, laying about her with her sword. Might be she's working out her grief, or her discomfort at the unpleasantly nostalgic hideousness of the enemies, or just anger at the attempt to draw Britannia in to a conflict under false pretenses. Whatever the reason, the Underworld forces are feeling the fallout from it.]

[Cora's on the field with her Team. The sheer chaos meant that they were in plenty of danger... But at the same time they could be ignored too. Carefully coordinated barrages are made to make up for their size difference.]

Well we see them! Maybe once we give the world a look at the remains we can ruin whatever plans these creeps have!

[And at a steady, albeit rather moderate pace, the armored Skuttler Suits are having holes blown into them. Pretty big ones, based on their size. It's the VeHA, toting an Ascalon rifle that it's constantly firing and then reloading with mechanical precision!]

It is curious though, Lynn.

What?

Weren't a few onboard the Chalice afraid the Inspectors would try to do this?

... Yeah.

Hopefully this won't give them the idea since it's out there now.

They're weird, but as long as they're not immune to weapons... Get lost, monsters! I won't let you kill any more humans!

[Tobia rushes in, cleaving through the first Handora on his way. A few others leap towards X-3, grabbing it and trying to immobilize it.]

Gah! Get off!

[And soon as the illusion drops, Palutena notices and puts two and two together, and makes Pit scramble from the hangar fast]

So that's what Hades meant when he said "helping" humans! He's turning them against themselves!
This is horrible! We have to tell everyone!
They were already looking for a reason to fight. Do you think they'd believe us? [Palutena sounds sad]
If we could only get them to know...
I know, Pit. But nothing we can do for now. Focus on taking down the Underworld army.

[And here comes the X-Buster, charging in right behind the Cherubot!]

Evil Space Aliens from another dimension? Those are MY kind of enemies! Come, Otherworld forces, and have a taste of my fist..of JUSTICE!

"I WON'T LET YOU CAUSE ANY MORE DESTRUCTION!" Setsuna was absolutely furious. That Kamille was now in a coma was one thing, but for Hades to come in like this and try and pit the Federation and Britannia against each other to start a new war so soon after the destruction of the Titans was right out! He wouldn't let his companion's sacrifice be ridiculed like this! "00 GUNDAM! ERADICATING THE ENEMY!" A group of Handoras soon found themselves overwhelmed by the mobile suit, 00 Gundam evading their shots while striking at them with hit-and-run tactics to beleaguer them. Eventually they would find themselves dead with a massive swing of 00's Buster Sword.

Of course, his rage made him a prime target.

[And that would be where Amuro comes in piloting... the Rick Dias, since the White Zeta still needs a few more things done. But hey, the massive feet on this thing make it good for kicking enemies who might have otherwise ambushed an ally.]

But don't let them get off easy either. If they're trying to start another war, we have to stop them.

"Amuro-!" The White Devil had it right, his anger was starting to cloud his judgment, he couldn't- "Behind you!" The tip of the GN Sword Short shot out at a Monoeye that managed to sneak behind the OYW veteran, reelling the monster in for Setsuna to kick it away. He quickly brought the GN Sword Long to bear and fired a powered laser at the flung enemy, disintegrating it. "Hades is going to pay for this."

Of course. God of the dead or not, this isn't even his world; not that he'd have a right just to provoke pointless wars.

[The Rick Dias looks around at the remaining enemies, before the pilot without gives a small sigh.]

But we'll have to clear these first, and then hope we can convince both sides that... the ruler of the underworld from another universe had his monsters pretend to be their respective units.

[Even Amuro Freaking Ray cannot say this with an entirely straight face.]

"..." Setsuna opens a video channel to you, Amuro. Look at his face. Take in the utter deadpan. Really Amuro, you should feel ashamed for even making that statement.
