A Hunter's... Farewell?

[The comms light up, and the face thereis one that has been seen on it basically never - the rock-opaque face of that bounty hunter woman, staring inexpressively for a second before speaking]

Tomorrow I will be leaving this ship for some time. If anyone needs to tell me anything beforehand I will be in the hangar from three hours from now.

[And with that she turns the comms off. Laconic as always, seems. But if you want to find her before she leaves, true to her word she's going to be checking some things on her ship]

[2 - locked to people with decent CR with Samus (read: Ichitaka, Laura, Devon, Julia, Werter... but not Vlaska. )]

[At least that's the message most people got. In your case, though, there was an additional message]

Before leaving I would like to speak to you. Find me in the Arboretum as soon as you can.

[And at some point later, Samus is going to approach the cat, quiet as always]

[Prometheus climbs on Werter's shoulder from behind.]

Right, this guy tagged along. Don't worry about him, he knows how to keep a secret.

I am leaving tomorrow. I intend to track down both the Space Pirates' hidden bases in this solar system, and Vlaska's owner.

But I want someone I can trust to have a modicum of sense keeping an eye on him while I do so.

Alright, I can do that. Between Prometheus and Devon's kids, I have experience keeping tiny creatures out of trouble.

[The cat's ears twitched as he slowly uncurled from his resting spot. He looks anxious as he lets out a soft meow to Samus, getting to his feet carefully.]

[Samus sits down near Vlaska, and pets him, taking a few seconds before speaking to let him approach and settle down]

[To which he carefully scampers over to put himself in the bounty hunter's lap. He looks up at Samus questioningly.]

[She takes a few seconds to scratch him comfortingly before speaking]

Vlaska. I will have to leave for some time. Without the Chalice making noise I expect I will be able to find Natasha sooner.

[russianbluerobo]

[And how does Vlaska react? He looks extremely worried for one, letting out a sudden and frantic meow, almost jumping to his feet and stumbling off of his seat on Samus.]

Mrrr..

[He nervously holds a paw out and waves it weakly. What would Samus do if she found Natasha?]

[Laura looks like she's calmed down a little since Angel Force departed, but she still looks like hell - just the ashes of hell instead of the full flame. She arrives in no particular hurry and stands waiting, showing little curiosity, or any other emotion for that matter.]

[Samus nods and waits for a few seconds, letting Laura recompose a bit. She's not in a hurry, either, and she can get full well how it is]

I had decided before, however. This has been in motion for some days. If I did not leave now I would need to wait longer.

[There is a pause, before Samus looks back at Laura]

I truly do not think it is her time to continue yet, however. [There's not even a particular need to say who she's talking about]

[Laura runs a hand through her hair.]

I know. It... would just be easier, the waiting, if you were around too. But I'll deal with it.

So. Why did you want to see me?

I am leaving the Chalice. It is unlikely I will contact anyone here for a time, due to a need to stay unfound. Thus I want to ask something of you.

What would this "something" be? Do you want me to keep hold of something for you... look out for someone?

Don't worry, Samus. No matter what you want me to do, I'm sure I can do it.

If so, take care of both Vlaska and Ichitaka while I am away. I have already asked Wolf to prevent harm from coming to Vlaska, but if his old owner finds him before I find her I do not want to risk his being alone.

And Ichitaka... [Samus pauses for a second, looking at Julia with an inexpressive face] He is easily unbalanced. I have tried to be a stabilizing element in his life. I do not know how much I have succeeded. But I would ask that you continue.

[And you get a nod right back, Samus. She's read Vlaska's comic book he gave her... she knows what he's been through.]

I'll do what I can. For both of them.

[Time to take the Team Mom mantle up once again.]

Ichitaka and I are friends, so I shouldn't have any problem keeping watch on him, and I'll do what I can to help him through any rough patches he might have. Especially with Haruka off the ship.

And as for Vlaska, I'll do what I can. To protect him from his former owner. Though knowing you, I might not even have to.
