There's no way that Mondenkind could keep secret Auryn's activation. The magnetic and gravitational disturbances it's putting out would be visible to anyone who lives near a coast or happens to own a compass, and it's only getting worse with time. Eventually, the planet itself will be torn apart by Auryn, Chihaya's last act taking the rest of the world with her.
But what the news reports don't know is that there is a solution. If the five iDol cores-Hiems, Tempestas, Nebula, Nubilum, and Imber-enter Auryn and counteract it's spatial warping, space will return to normal and the world will be saved. The catch is...they won't come back. They'll be trapped in a pocket dimension, wholly unreachable by human hands.
That's the jist of the briefing that everyone's gotten.

Once the iDols are in there, and the whole thing's been stopped. Do they need to stay? If there is some way, if we find something that can get you out...
