Ten Years looking For the Luck

1] Adette has a big cardboard box in her arms closed up tight, and a big smirk on her face. She looks down at the list of names shes scribbled on the top of the box I hope I can find everyone... It had taken all year to round everything up in preparation for this evening, it was the last night of the year after all and she could not let it go by without observation.
[[Adette has gifts for everyone she has CR for. Why is she passing them out tonight instead of last week? Maybe you should ask her.]]
2]It's was 15 minutes to midnight, and Adette was filling up your glass without invitation. "You're got to try this. Vodka from home town." A pretty, drunk, grin, as she rests her chin on her hand. "Any good resolutions?"
no subject
A grin.
"I will have to be the genemother though, as only the gene-mother's bloodname is eligible for the offspring to be obtained, even if to observers you are likely the more beautiful of us both. Or at least, the one more in touch with her feminism."
no subject
Oh alright Ranna you win.
Adette could hardly contain her amusement and it seemed as if her grin threatened to tear her face cleanly in half.
"You know, that's not a half bad idea actually. If Micheal ever leaves me I might have to take you up on that." The deadpan was she said it only added to the joke.
Little did poor Adette know that that part would come sooner than she thought...
"I'd be a terriable mother. I can hardly handel Gainer, and he's not even mine, and he's already bathroom trained."
no subject
"Though this is where Clan society may seem alien to you once more - Those of the warrior caste do not attend to their children. They are raised in a sibko. A group of similarly aged young warrior-to-be. The other castes are more conventional though."
no subject
"I'll never be able to get over that part about you guys. I mean, my family life was nothing to write a movie about, but I wouldn't have traded my family for the world. My brothers are like my best friends, they taught me everything I know." She smiled fondly with the memories of them. "Depriving someone of that, I'm sorry, I just... yeah." There was no easy way to say 'I morally object to this but respect that it's what you do.'
no subject
"And from siblins I have seen in the Inner Sphere... Not so much difference. Except for the size of a sibko and that we are not blood related."
A chuckle. "And our attitude towards copulation. But that is out society as a whole, and not just for sibkos."
no subject
"I mean I understand it, but I still don't think it's right. At least not right for me. It what you do, and I respect that, even if I don't fully agree with it." Adette tried not to sound upsetting, she liked Ranna very much, she liked all the clanners really, even if at their core they where so very different from herself.
"I learned that one the hard way. Or easy way, depending on how you look at it."
no subject
"Aff, as I have found in my time amongst the Inner Sphere. One could argue we were literally bred for war, while most will have the choice to choose their vocation, quiaff?"
Then a soft chuckle.
"Both, I would think. It should have been the easy way, except in your case the Warrior had conflicting feelings."
no subject
"When you put it like that..." Adette couldn't help but agree, but only in a way. "I mean, that's what I though when I first got to know Resnick, but between the two of you I've seen there is so much more than that in what you do. In who you are. I don't think of you as any more or less than what I am, because after all, we're both humans right? Don't take that as in insult either, I mean i know I'm just a lowly 'freeborn' or whatever, but I think we've all proven we can hold our one just as well as you Clanners can. Although honestly, with out your guys, I'd probably be lost, and a complete mess." She laughed at this, it felt strange to talk about all this out loud, but also refreshing because Ranna was so level headed, Adette didn't have to worry she would hit a nerve and have an angry warrior upon her in a moment.
"What new guy though, what the hell is up with him? He's stuffier than any of the clanner I've met yet. What's his problem? Did they engineer him with a lofty attitude or what?" She paused for a moment. "Also, if they build you guys anyways, why didn't they give you bigger boobs?"
no subject
"Just for the sake of our pride, my official stance is that as individual pilots, my fellow Wolves are still... slightly superior."
She smiles wryly.
"He is a typical young Jade Falcon."
She then crosses her arms - her breasts are not very large, but no one can deny that they are curvaceous and firm.
"I am not certain if that gives us any advantages."
no subject
"I guess it wouldn't." Adette sort of grabbed her own for a minute, and grinned. "Don't get me wrong, they're nice! But if we built people here on earth, I promise you they'd all have huge knockers." Terran vanity perhaps?
"Yeah he's no fun at all. And he'll tell you that too. I mean I understand being a little shell shocked but a new place, really I do, but man. He's going to have a hard fucking time if he doesn't loosen up a little bit. He's playing in our sandbox now."
no subject
"I mean it though - he is, or was a typical Jade Falcon. At least, a young Crusader-minded Jade Falcon. Being taken bondsman would have introduced him to some humility, else he would have felt much more superior."
