[Over in the medical ward, Wendell has his usual bout of coma turning into a violent awakening. This time features a horrible, wet coughing fit that takes a concerning while to settle down. Despite feeling terrible, however, he's determined to leave. As soon as breathing is mostly painless, Wendell pushes himself unsteadily to his feet, ignoring the new but familiar pains. Same old song and dance... and unless someone stops him, Wendell is tired always waking up to the hospital walls.]
[Later, Wendell makes a public post.]
I know it's been a while, but I just woke up. Did anyone see where Ayman ran off to?
... Also, what day is it?
[[ooc: For those who knew Wendell early on, the physical changes are quite obvious now: his hair is almost black when it was red when he first showed up, and he's quite pale. Also, anyone with a character that has any kind of mind reading or empathic powers and are interested please contact me on AIM: llamaqueen190]]

... But it does mean I didn't get anyone any presents.

I didn't get a look in a mirror. Is it really that bad?

Hopefully that guy won't appear again. But something tells me that's asking for too much.

[He gives Werter a pained look.]
As much as I hate him, I do know there are plenty in the world who would agree with him.

Unless he knows something that we don't know. But then he should share it instead of being vague.

If it requires the destruction of sixteen colossi each time, I don't think too many people would be seeking it out.
... and sometimes I wonder if Ayman can't help but be frustratingly vague.

Woah! Wendell, no offense but you look like crap. Was the stay at the ward THAT bad for you?
no subject
It wasn't the ward. Though, I did run out of there pretty quick, so one could think so.
[Wendell starts to gesture towards his chest, but flinches when his ribs complain at the movement.]
Side effects.

[The fleeting paranoid thought of someone still trying to stop him makes him hesitate.]
There's no way to know for sure, really.
no subject
[And try to stop you if it goes to far, but Wendell does not have to know that. Sorry!]

That's about all I can do. Keep an eye on me, will you? ... Just in case.

[Wendell secretly hoped he wouldn't have to be reminded of that later, either.]
So, Ayman disappeared?

Yes. Probably at the worst timing, too.
... I should have resolved things with him when I had the chance.

[Josh isn't looking super happy though. Not with the way Wendell's looking, to say nothing of the vibes he's picking up from the boy.]

suspicion
It's faint, but obviously two signals instead of the usual one.]
... Something wrong?
no subject
Just the usual stuff with you. You go through hell whenever those giants show up, and, well it's pretty obvious to anyone with working eyes that you're looking worse than ever.

[Wendell's face takes on a grim resignation.]
It's really bad this time, isn't it?
no subject
But that means Mana'll be revived soon?
