Unfortunately the spare head belongs to a Zaku mk II.]

Well, I was able to fight Jerid with this at Solomon. [cringes from the phantom pains of all those lives going out at once.] Hopefully by the next time I deploy the regular head will be ready

In the meantime, better for Zeta to have any head than nothing. That mobile suit needs a main camera... and without a head, it looks pretty damn stupid.

It's got a better vision suite than the Zaku heads by far, and even if we never use them, better to have it on hand than not at all.

It's kinda crazy that with all the times the Chalice has fallen under attack they're still in working order. Or are intact enough that they can get other things in working order.

Probably because no one ever uses them - can't damage what's sitting in hangar all the time. And when we get infiltrated, bad guys got better targets than some old mobile suits outdated by ten years.

Gundarium Delta is really not all it was cooked up to be. [frowns.] I should not be able to lose limbs this easily, but I guess technology marches on.

Thinking about it though, it doesn't really NEED the head in order to transform to Waverider mode. But then there's the disadvantage of Waverider's lack of weapons. Outside of the beam guns, it needs to have the HML and beam rifle equipped externally in order to be effective as a fighting unit.
