A summer cold

When she had woken up Adette had felt fine. Mid morning she had caught a light sneeze, and by the afternoon she was running a low grade fever. Abandoning her work, Adette headed for the kitchen.
Hot Toddys and soup. It was cure anything right?
1) You might find Adette in the kitchen, up-ending whiskey into her cup of tea, and trying to keep her nose from running right off her face. Her long hair pulled back into a thick braid, and pinned to the top of her head to try and relieve the heat she felt. And though it wasn't to obvious how much she felt like crap, she kept to herself about it, trying to make herself a bit of comfort food as quickly as she can. Spreading a cold would only make everyone miserable!
2) Later Adette has holed up in her Quarters with a hot toddy (though it was more whiskey than tea) and a thick novel. A note taped to the door warned people that she was sick and had locked herself away till she felt better.
For once she was laying in her bed, and not her hammock, wrapped in a course quilt over a nightgown and satin robe, and her hair looking quite a mess.
