Aftermath of DESCENT

[Cheng was going over the whole mission log. Including the major fact of SKYSCRAPER OUT OF NOWHERE ON THE SHIP. How that happened... Cheng knew that Maya had something to do with it. As did whatever deal he made with her. But there was much that he still did not know.]

[Ah, so that was what it was. Cheng closes his eyes and takes a breath. He tries again after trying to get a clearer image of what he wanted... slow steady movements.

The twin dragon gates. one of the greatest sights of Gucun. Demolished during the fall. He remembered them vividly when they stood proudly. As he drew more and more details that were hazy in memory seemed to become clearer and clearer with each scratch of the pencil upon the paper.]

[And Cheng did. He was totally knocked off his feet when he saw that. YES the gates he just drew and thought about were right behind him.

As soon as he got his bearings he touched them. It was the right texture too...he was somewhat more surprised when the gate swung open and turned out to be paper thin]
