[The microwave emitters and high-frequency motors were all beyond salvage.  And the specialized parts used for them were in short supply on Earth, seeing as how Herrera Futuristics had such lousy business around and on Earth.  It would probably be less hassle to just completely buy another Prominence Armor and keep it around for parts...]
