Clearing out cobwebs for White Base's Angel
1.[Throughout the day, someone's out taking the Cosmograsper and I-Savior for a spin or two. And by "spin or two", I mean crazy high-G maneuvers to avoid imaginary enemies. No shooting, just dodging like crazy. Several times the Cosmograsper will actually go into a stall, then roll into a turn, allowing it to do a 360 turn in very tight spaces.]
2. [Later on, Sayla's taking a break. She looks kind of...green.]
Ugh...

Got a little carried away out there?
Re: 2
[Takes a drink.]
It's been a while.

For what it's worth you looked pretty good out there.

And thanks.

Uh...Sure.

But it we're going to make something out of this, I'll have to push that machine a little harder, and you too.

[The answer now, as the projectile comes racing back: Accelerate and climb! Rockets at full, yo!]
no subject
Yes, Boss.
[And the shot increases in speed; it's not as significant a boost as Sayla's is, but then the projectile's still at least as fast as she is, magic being able to cheat and all. It's on course for the cockpit if Sayla doesn't get the Cosmograsper out of the way. Interestingly, Chrono's having to dump a lot of focus into this...]

Why do you ask?
Re: 2
Re: 2
Why would you even think that?
Re: 2
Re: 2
...Who told you this, anyways?

Doctor... about all the tests I-
[Oh dear. Yeah, she doesn't look good.]
... I came at a bad time, didn't I?
Re: 2
...Give me a while.

...Okay, I think I'm feeling a bit better now. What was it you wanted to know?
no subject
Was there anything definitive you found in it? Human or otherwise?
Right now I... would definitely appreciate confirmations one way or the other.
no subject
There were a few blips here and there, but nothing that can be determined with confidence. Some of the results were conflicting, too...
All I can really say is that you are who you are.
no subject
I was... afraid of that. If only because it feels like other people know who I am better than I do.
no subject
If you want to talk it out, I'm more than willing to lend you an ear.
no subject
I'd appreciate that.
[And with that he sits down, looking a bit antsy.]
I suppose really, what's causing my biggest problems with this is just my initial impressions of Percolatii.
Do you... mind if I go into detail?
no subject
Go ahead.
no subject
... I lost my whole family to Percolatii when I was a child. They were replicated and killed, and while I tried to hide in the house they searched for me... as my parents. I knew the truth, and they weren't going to just let me live.
I know some Percolatii just "pick up" where the person they copied stopped living. Some times they don't necessarily even kill them; MarKus's parents were replicated but they died from an unrelated incident.
But just... all that talk that "it doesn't matter who you were" doesn't stick to me as well as it should... because I know how horrible a Percolatis can be, and how their imitation can be skin-deep.
no subject
...But still, those would be other Percolatii, not you. I mean...I share the same species as Gihren Zabi. And I think the second impact showed us all how horrible people can be...
You can't let being distantly related to evil get you down.
no subject
[He sighs heavily.]
That one Percolatis out there talked like he knew me. And if he was... then I was apparently a high-ranking member of TECZ. And TECZ, contrary to what I've thought for all my life, seems to really just be a Percolatis front.
no subject
...I still think that the same general rules as brainwashing apply now. You're not the same man you were then, so you can't really be held responsible for those actions.
...Take a break, do something you enjoy for a while. It'll help get your mind on track.

Maybe watch some of MarKus's Kamen Rider documentaries again, or see how Madeleine's doing now.
no subject
...Speaking of Madeleine, did Ayame really go through with blackmailing her?
no subject
From what I heard, Mad was a bit troublesome when she first came onboard, after all.
no subject
I still don't like it, but what's past is past, I suppose.

...Agh, I'm going to rant at you all day if this keeps up. Go watch your karate bugman show.
