Inside the Head of a Getter

[A string of Scottish-accented grumbling could be heard from the internals of the Black Getter as Flynn popped his head out of the, well head, of the practically slagged Black Getter. Thumping it with the end of his spanner, he cursed it again and called it something akin to the son of the motherless goat.]

This thing is going to take weeks to repair! Ach...

[Mira's working on another part of the Getter and yeah in the same boat.] OW!

[Yeah that would be her getting shocked by one of the wires near her.] Please tell me this isn't a rush job because a week might be pushing it.

Ach... it'd better not be. Or I'll throw th' next person who tries to promote it as a rush job into a bucket o'somethin'.

Ask the rider that runs the kitchen for grease, might be worth that and finding some feather pillows. [She peeks out of the arm she's crawled into to repair] Not exactly tar and feathering, but hey, we can pretend right?

Eh, we'll work on tha'. In the meantime, I think I'll 'ave ta strip some of the armor off and replace it.

That's if we have the parts... [She sighs a little] If you want I can see about fabricating the parts. Cause this arm... If I keep at it my hair'll stand on end for a week.

Aye there is tha'. Maybe we can take some of the parts from the old stuff we've got laying around.

Gimme a few to climb out of here and I'll see of the techs have the parts. If not, looks like one of us is going to be up most the next few days welding.

[She pulls herself out of the arm and stretches a moment.]

Well, I don't have anything planned this week. [She drops down from her perch.]

[She laughed] Actually almost glad this happened. I was going to probably spend it doing something silly like writing new music or trying to figure out how to modify my bike for a better power source. This, keeps me busy so I won't do something stupid.
