Imperfection.

...Right...so, at any rate, on that last mission, it may have seemed like I pulled out a bit early due to sheer terror. I'm here to assure you all that such a thing is impossible. Indeed, my body is tooled to use the adrenaline rush from fear to fuel my mind, and heighten the abilities of my machine even higher.
...So why did I leave? It's actually rather simple, you see...most humans use about 10% of their brains at a time. Even Newtypes don't use more than 20 or 30% at a time...I, on the other hand, use somewhere around 90% of it at once. This, sadly, has the side effect of amplifying whatever the hell those Festum things were doing...I retreated to distance myself from the attack, lest I be turned against you all. Trust me, none of you want to ever become my enemy. I'm sure you wouldn't last long.
On the plus side, Reinheit will be good to launch again with a fresh coat of paint. Which is more than I can say for some pilots on that last mission...

[Prime is in his quarters, growling to himself and pacing the room like a madman. His mirror looks like it was hit with a blunt object, and shattered bits are strewn across the floor. He's softly cursing under his breath. Do you approach?]
no subject
[He leans against the doorway, having just come back from the firing range]
I'm not sure Dan will replace that mirror so readily... Not to mention, isn't that 7 years bad luck?
no subject
You trashed Wahrheit. Again.
...and besides that, I don't need to look at myself right now...

The data that we acquired...
[He holds up a disc that recorded all of the events]
...will be more valuable to the League than a couple of parts...

[PRIME sighs, pulling his shades off and lying down on the bed.]
...
[His body stiffens, and he slowly rises from the bedside, his eyes blood-red as he stares at Alexei. His next line in in a high-pitched monotone.]
...Are you there?
no subject
See Ryo...that's all I can say.
no subject
You're no fun.

[He smirks.]
In the end, overclocking the Kojima reactor paid off.
I was able to pull off that theoretical Primal Breaker maneuver, and still had more than enough armor left for the Mass Area Pre-emptive weapon. But how the hell do you guard against a mental attack...
...do you think some kind of mental barrier could be formed from a pilot's willpower?
no subject
Also, be sure to let that LISTANT/G rest. Overclocking it may be good, but that reactor is tiny. You don't want to push it, then have it crack and burst. Then you'll have more to worry about than voices in your head.

...until then, I'm not taking this tinfoil off my head.
2
I don't blame you.
no subject
Even now, I swear, I can hear a voice in the back of my head, asking me, "Are you there?"
...you think it'll go away if I answer it?
no subject
And as for that voice? Try not to pay attention to it. If you answer it, I imagine that'll soon be the only message your brain receives. You'll go mad and then you'll just be one of them. Just give it some time and it'll go away on its own.
... I guess you could say it's like an annoying sitcom neighbor in that way.
