Post-Mission Pain

1. - Post-mission
[The first thing that Nanoha felt was absolute pain from her injuries despite the IV feeding her painkillers. She was sore all over and she felt half-cooked. She definitely didn't get off lightly this time, and her whole side was covered in bandages. She was also dressed in a hospital gown but most of it was stripped down to her waist in order to facilitate healing. Her arm and leg were elevated under pillows in order to support herself, and she winced at the sensation of being cooked.]

Ow... [managed Nanoha, wincing.]

2. - Later in the Week
[Nanoha's doing better for the most part, the doctors managing to accelerate her healing. Mid, Mejire and normal medicine helping her recover as well. Still, as she sucked on a juice box, she flexed her hand.]

I need to get stronger... better... toys I suppose. What do you think, Raising Heart?

[I will help you.]

[Nanoha smiled and nodded.]

Nanoha! (Yoshika looked up from where she was sitting, a relieved expression on her face as she moved to ease some of her friend's pain with a little healing.)

Yoshika... thanks so much. But you shouldn't push yourself...

I'm fine...I'm just worried about you, Nanoha! I couldn't help you out at all like you helped me before, so...

Ah, well... I've definitely been better. [She groans as she tries to sit up and fails.] Ow.

Don't move, okay? (Her ears and tail appear as she focuses her powers on healing where Nanoha's most hurt.)

Ooogh... thanks... [Yoshika's healing always feels nice anyhow...]

Anytime~! You're my friend, and I'll always be there for you. (Yoshika's powers continue their work, healing Nanoha's injuries as best she could.)

Hehe thanks Yoshika. Though don't strain yourself, okay? I'm not going anywhere any time soon.

I won't, promise! (She pulls back, and her ears and tail fade while she takes a quick breath.)

...Did you know that one person? The one who couldn't get your name right?

That's Vita. She and I have been at odds since she just suddenly attacked me one day.

So, I guess Vita would be your rival?

Hehehe yeah I suppose she would be!

(Yoshika, you had one yourself -kinda- in Perrine.)

Hehehe~! There's no chance you two can get along, maybe?

Well we'll try. But there's no guarantee about that.

[Setsuna couldn't help but stare in awe. This little girl, after having been virtually cooked alive, was already working towards becoming stronger than before. That determination, that need to never back down in the face of danger, truly this is what it meant to be Gundam.]

Nanoha Takamichi. Your recovering well. [...He's still new at this 'friendship' thing, cut him some slack.]

[She's not a Gundam, just a really determined kid.]

I am. I should be out of the hospital in a while. [She waved with her free hand, the one that wasn't bound with an IV.] And you?

I... have been better. [Nanoha should be able to tell that Setsuna was fine, physically. He seemed to be troubled by something, and he wasn't exactly fort-] Celestial Being has been compromised. [what.] The Federation is now in possession of plans for the Solar Furnace, and I believe that they'll soon begin to crack down on us.

[A blink] A solar what now? Furnace? Is that like a power source?

[nods] It is the technical term for the GN Drive, the power source of Celestial Being's Gundams. Though something was lost in transition, the Federation was able to create a close-enough replica of the Solar Furnace that they can mass-produce them on a large scale. [The specs of those GN-Xs were high enough to actually keep pace with their Gundams easily. If it weren't for TRANS-AM...] Celestial Being's time is short... and I'm not sure what to do... [he seems rather dejected by this, actually. Say something?]

I see. You'll probably be best to recover that information, and purge it from the Federations computers.

[shakes his head.] Veda, the supercomputer that has been aiding us in our missions, and the only tool in our arsenal that would be capable of doing such a thing on that large of a scale, has been taken from us, likely by the same people who stole the plans for the Solar Furnace.

[They're well and truly fucked.]

I see. That must be difficult then. Do you have any idea on how to get them back?

[Shakes head in the negative.]

[The doctor arrives with a clipboard and a smile on her face that she hopes is reassuring to the young girl.]

How are you feeling, Miss Takamachi?

Like I've been hit with magma. [Nanoha groaned as she shifted a little.] Reactor Purge saved me from the worst of it though.
