Post-Mission Thinking

1.

[Nanoha's in the arbortorium, having been treated for her shoulder. She was still in a sling but she was able to get out and walk around despite her exhaustion. For the time being, she was sitting underneath a large tree, humming to herself.]

2.

[Given that she was hungry, she went to get a meal. Currently, she was trying to cook by herself, not wanting to disturb anyone. You can see her trying to move a large pan with her good hand.]

3.

[It's around this time the next day that a care package arrives for Nanoha, and she's eager to tear into it. In there is cookies, clothing, clean undies (blush) and a couple of pairs of glasses. From it is a letter from Miyuki-nee who says to keep her head up. JUST what she needed. Thank you Lindy for telling her parents she needed a pick me up. You can see her wandering around in a cute new outfit despite her sling, and a pair of glasses on her nose.]

Wait, that's not sweet!

[Good job, Scott. Hand a kid something, and they put it in their mouth. You are a TERRIBLE babysitter.]

That's because it's just the bean. You have to grind it up, mix it with vanilla, sugar, and other stuff to get chocolate. I managed to pick up a couple of saplings while we were in South America. Managed to get a pod of the beans too.

Sounds like it, but it's all worth it in the end. Plus, when the beans are ground up, they make two different products for cooking: cocoa butter and cocoa powder. I think the kitchen staff would be happy about that.

Well, enjoy the war that'll break out when we've got enough to make hot cocoa, and we've got to decide between marshmallows or whipped cream on top.

Definitely. There's nothing like it made from scratch. Just got to wait for these trees to produce the beans, though.

Not sure, to be honest. I'm reading up on what I can. First, I just want to make sure these trees make it through transplanting.

Well, for now, watering and fertilizing. Follow whatever instructions I can find.

Sounds perfect. We'll have these babies settled in in no time.
