Wahrheit Maintenance - Locked to Lowe Gear and Orlando Desmarais
[Alexei would personally call both Lowe and Orlando out of the blue.]
You two...I want to see you down in Wahrheit's hangar in 15 minutes. Whether both of you come or neither of you come, it doesn't matter to me. And Lowe? Bring that book...
[The message cuts off then.]

[Lowe will be there. And yes, he found the AC maintenance manual. He brought 8 too, just in case.]
What's up?
no subject
Where's the other? I would prefer not to start without him.
no subject
I'm not his nanny, so no idea.
no subject
[He holds his hand out]
And tell me what you've learned, if anything at all.
no subject
[String of technical expressions that say nothing to a non-mechanic. Also, Lowe hands over the manual, although it's more like a loose set of paper sheets tied together than an actual book.]
And that's why hydraulics won't be too hard to take care of. I'll handle maintenance and basic repairs, no problem.
no subject
[He takes the "book" and rips it in half, tossing it to the side]
NEXT Type units require a bit more than just the ordinary, and since the League doesn't operate up here in space, I need someone to trust to take care of the Wahrheit.
[He points over to a nearby rack of normal suits]
Put one on...you're going to see a Kojima Generator up close and personal.
no subject
[Lowe doesn't really like Alexei's attitude, but eh. A job's a job. And he's itching to see the generator. So he'll put on the suit while leaving 8 behind.]
no subject
You first, kid...
no subject
[Lowe enters the Wahrheit in a rather... laidback fashion, but he immediately starts to look around and catch technical details with his eyes. It's his first time working with such a unit after all.]
no subject
no subject
[Points at the hatch and its warning sign with his thumb.]
That explains the suit. You want me to get in, I bet.
no subject
The normal suit will only be good for so long as well. Go on ahead and go down there...but I don't recommend touching it for right now.
no subject
[Lowe slips into the hatch. He's almost sure that Alexei does not intend to murder him or anything after all.]
C'mon Kojima Generator, show me yourself up close.
no subject
Ah...that's not good...
Yeah, Orlando should probably appear now
no subject
[He says this with a bit of nervousness himself...]
Ta-daaaaah!
Instead you got me.
[He eyes the stream of green particles.]
Is it supposed to do that?
no subject
no subject
[Despite his joking around, Lowe is tense as he looks at whatever is behind the generator. He is as careful as you can be.]
no subject
See anything down there?
no subject

[Alexei's voice thunders through the mech]
Not unless you enjoy the thought of Kojima poisoning! Orlando, work with Lowe to fix the leak.
[He moves out of the way and allows Orlando passage to the Generator block.]
Pulling sci-fi devices out of my ass here
Orlando, do you have a Minovsky stabilizer? I could use one. And a solid wrench.
A time honored tradition.
[Fortunately, the Clockmaker is usually close to the docking bay where all this is happening, so it's a short trip. He kicks off from the Wahrheit.]
no subject
And absorbant foam! Any kind of absorbant!
Re: A time honored tradition.

While he's off grabbing...whatever it is you need, do you want me to go get your briefcase or?
no subject
8 doesn't like it when people who aren't me handle him. He'll just have to live with it because I could really use him here.
no subject
Ah...there you are.
[He would make a grab for it]
no subject
"WHAT IS THE SITUATION? IS LOWE ALRIGHT?"
[At the same time, Lowe is being uncomfortable in the reactor's heat and wondering what side effects the radiation will have.]
no subject
[He picks up 8 and begins his trek back to Wahrheit, but at an incredibly relaxed pace]
Worst he'll get right now is heat stroke... course if he was dumb enough to do that whole "plug the hole with my thumb" thing, I wouldn't expect him to have that thumb anymore...or that hand...or that arm...
[He eventually makes it back to Wahrheit, putting his arm through the hatch with 8 in his hand.]
Okay, I brought your briefcase...need anything else?
no subject
[8]: "SO LOWE WAS NOT MURDERED AND HIS BODY INCINERATED AFTER ALL."
This is no time for jokes... especially ones about me dying.
no subject
[As jokingly as the statement sounds, Alexei makes this statement deadpan and with the utmost seriousness.]
no subject
no subject
Orlando Desmarais is always prepared. Let's get to work, Lowe.
no subject
[Work the techie magic! Monitor and stabilize the input, and then seal up the leak.]
How's the radiation? My suit's drenched in sweat so I can't tell.

You can get out of there now, Lowe. Good job with the leak. Had I gone out into battle with the Wahrheit, the cockpit would've flooded with Kojima rather quickly.
[For once, he actually sounds rather sincere. He then turns to Orlando...]
Now you... Since Lowe took care of the generator, I think I'll leave him in charge of the guts. I have a different job for you though. At your discretion, I want you to meet me back down in this hangar with that mecha of yours...Handyman was it? It doesn't have to be today, by all means, take the rest of the day off.
[He walks over to the panel on the wall with the cord. Taking the cord in his hand, he jabs it into his neck]
Wahrheit Repair Log 01: Kojima Leak in ARGYROS/G generator. With assistance of Lowe Gear and Orlando Desmarais, was able to avert Kojima breach. Request requisition of League funds for compensation, to be delivered upon return to Earth.
[He removes the cord and hangs it back up on the wall and slowly makes his way out of the cockpit.]
The Wahrheit will auto lock the cockpit in 30 minutes, fellows. If you want to poke around, be my guest. And be sure to tell me what you want before we return to Earth. The League has deep pockets...
[And with that, Alexei leaves the hangar, the Wahrheit's systems able to be prodded if you so wish to. Otherwise, you're free to leave.]
no subject
[He's been tapping at the computer terminal on his normal suit's arm, but he finishes up now and pulls out a computer tablet of some kind and a stylus.
It's an invoice for the services rendered. Time spent on a rush job and the cost for replacing the minovsky stabilizer are totaled up to a reasonable fee.]
If you could sign here?
no subject
[Highfive with Orlando?]
I don't mind some extra funds. Or to be more precise, parts. Think the League can get these?
[And, 8's output window already displays a collection of mobile suit parts and equipment. It's nothing too rare or expensive, but on the other hand - most of these don't look like normal stuff used in repair either. What is Lowe trying to do here?]
no subject
An...odd collection of stuff. It'll take some time for them to transport this to us when we return to Earth, but I don't see them objecting. If you requested NEXT parts...then I could see there being a problem.
[He takes note of Lowe's request and jots it down]
no subject
no subject
I'll be sure to have the League requisition your required funds when we return to Earth. It's reasonable enough.
no subject
Also you should probably keep a closer eye on that reactor. If that leak had gotten too big you could have irradiated the entire docking bay.
no subject
no subject
Your personnel management skills are a thing of legend. What can I be doing for you?
no subject
Get on a normal suit and get up here quick. We have a bit of a situation...
[Merge with Lowe post.]
