[ Char can be found in the hangar... again... this time looking at the RX-78-2 Gundam. While his Zeong was at the far end of the hangar, Char was leaning over the rail, his arms folded over one another, looking at the White Devil. The machine that had killed so many of his comrades in the Principality of Zeon, and had taken Lalah from him. It could also likely be blamed for the familial divide between him and Artesia.

Char wasn't sure what to make of Amuro being onboard. He would likely never forgive him for killing Lalah, but it was inevitable that they would be meeting again. The Red Comet exhaled roughly through his nose, turning away from the machine, and started for the door. Someone would likely bump into him as he tried to leave. ]

[A loud voice calls to Char. Predictably, there's Alessandra, waving.]

It looks like deep thoughts cloud your mind again. First you stare at space and now at the machines!

How much do you know about the history of the One Year War?

[Where the Gundam was, Amuro wasn't too far behind. ...But you probably already felt that, didn't you char. Can you feel the newtype senses glaring at you from across the catwalk?]

[ Char nodded, and then looked towards the Gundam. ]

That machine killed hundreds of Zeon soldiers, including a few I was close with. It single-handedly turned the tide in favor of the Federation, and inspired Federation citizens the world over. If it wasn't for this machine, it is possible that Zeon would have won.

Not necessarily. But it's a small world, and with how strange things have been, it was inevitable, wasn't it?

I would never imagine it would carry such a heavy burden, just from looking at its exterior. But then, a machine of conflict is used to spill blood. It's inevitable.

The robot's pilot should be on board as well, I take it.

This ship's been involved in stranger things than reunions. [ Char then dismissed Amuro's statement. ] I'm sure you've heard by now I've abandoned Axis. Though after hearing about the Titans and their megalomania, I'm not hesitant to help them again.

I am. But you're missing the point I'm trying to make. [ Char reached up and removed his sunglasses for a moment. ] We have no more reason to fight one another. And after the Titans attacked White Chalice pilots, it stands to reason that we'll be fighting them. I suggest we put our differences aside for now. There are more pressing issues than our history with one another.

I believe you should forgive him. Or at least, do not hold a grudge. The painful history of years past cannot be changed anyway.

It isn't that simple, Miss Langelier. [ Char shook his head, disappointed that this subject came up. ] Amuro killed the woman I love. It isn't something I can just forget about.

I get what you're saying. There's no reason for us to fight right now... But that doesn't mean I'm ready to trust you.

I don't intend to shoot you from behind, and for now, I'll assume the same is true for you.

I don't expect you to trust me, and frankly, I have never forgotten the night Lalah died. But I'm not going to sit idly while a Federation faction kills innocent civilians in their witch hunt for Zeon sympathizers. I'd expect you wouldn't, either.

It's not just them caught in the crossfire right now. What happened on Rauha should make that obvious. I'm well aware that our enemies overlap at the moment.

The Titans are just as likely to restart the One Year War as the extremist faction at Axis were. Neither of us want that. What I'm saying is, I'm asking for us not to be at each others throats. At least not for now.
