[Seattle Colony! Home to both Julia and Christine. For Christine, at least, it's been a long time since she came home. Not since those days before joining Danconias Phillips. But, things have changed since those days. She's no longer boastful towards other Irgelions, she's much more in control of her ego.

And she has someone important in her life in the form of Julia herself.

That one still surprises her, then again, maybe it was something that was more of a foregone conclusion. She shook her head a little bit, pushing that to the side and focus more on the task at hand - being home.]

It's been quite awhile... it feels good to be home again!

[Yes, Christine no doubt has quite the spring in her step. And for good reason, too! She's not just any ordinary girl here; she's the daughter of a famous public official... in a way the closest thing the colony has to a princess! And like any princess, soon enough her chariot arrives; an all-black limousine! It pulls up to a stop next to her, and a certain red-haired man steps out and grins.]

Well well well!

When I heard that Seattle's two favorite daughters were back for a visit I was wondering how long it would take to find you, Chrissy!

[Christine winces slightly at the name calling, but she can't help but grin at who showed up.]

Victor! Wow, it's been awhile, hasn't it? I'm guessing mom and dad want to see me as well?

[Like he'll ever call you anything else, Christine.]

'Course they do! When you left here you were just another mascot like Richardson, and now you're back as a savior of the world a couple times over! They want to see just how much their little girl's grown these past few months!

[He walks around to the other side of the limo, opening the door for Christine before gesturing inside.]

Just make yourself nice and comfy, Chrissy. I'll be getting you home in no time!

Gladly! [With a chuckle, Christine made her way into the limo, making herself comfortable. Talking to her parents about being a hero is one thing, talking to them about Julia is a whole different can of beans. Something she'll have to handle when everything else is said and done.]

Though, I can't take TOO much credit for saving the world - there were others, too, y'know!

Indeed there were, Chrissy! And I think it's plenty mature of you to remember they were there too!

[He shuts the door behind her before returning to the driver's seat and starting up the car again. And with that they're off, heading straight towards-]

... Oh wait.

[Victor sighs in defeat before taking an unexpected right turn.]

Forgot they were doing roadwork, so we're gonna have to take the long way around. Just hold tight; I know what I'm doing. We'll get you home to the mister and misses all the same!

Huh? But... [Christine shook her head slightly. Victor knew what he was doing - he was her bodyguard! He was looking out for her.]

Alright. I'm counting on you, Victor...!

[Indeed! He's your bodyguard, Christine! Which explains why he's taking you down this somewhat dark and deserted bit of the colony... double-checking a map and talking to himself about something being "only a few hundred meters long"...

[And that something turns out to be a tunnel, build under some area still under construction. The "Space Space Needle". Guess some people got jealous that the original one was rebuilt. But the limo goes in, and it drives, and drives, and drives...

[And then stops.]

... Whelp! This is our stop, Chrissy! Time to get out if you know what's good for you!

[Okay, now that THIS didn't make sense at all. Where the hell was she? Oh, she certainly was going to get out and confront Victor.]

Victor, where the hell are we? Not to be obvious, but this NOT home!

[And Victor just chuckles.]

Okay, okay! You got me. Chrissy Holmes shows off her powers of deduction once again!

[But at that there's the click of a gun, and Christine can feel something cold and metallic press against her head.]

Unfortunately she once again oversteps her bounds though.

[Victor gets out of the car, smiling for a moment before ruffling her hair and starting to walk forward as some lights turn on inside of the tunnel, revealing that they are actually joined by a number of men. Her hands are grabbed tightly, though still not to the point of pain though.]

And to be honest, I have to admit it was mighty cold of Valentine and Bairoft to leave you for dead back there on Earth. Buuuuuut then again, getting such a beatdown at the hands of that Irgelion girl...

[Christine gasps as she hears the click and feels the cold steel press against her head. Her eyes go wide as she hears all of this.]

...V-Victor... y-you knew? B-But... Victor, what the hell's gotten into you?! What's this all about?!

Well... well it's like this, Chrissy!

Iskander's disappointed in you. If you would've been killed... well that's tragic and tears would've been shed and I would've given your folks a box of chocolates and all that jazz. And if you would've been held captive and stayed that way, well, we probably wouldn't have bothered trying to rescue you on account of limited resources...

... But really. Throwing yourself in league with those people! You've got... well all those aliens onboard! Richardson, the PreDesu girl, all those people from different realities too. That robot girl to boot!

The list just goes on and on... it's like you forgot all the important things in Thaumata the moment you ended up on your own! What's up with that?

Iskander? I-Iskander's dead, Victor - how could he...?

[A trick. Just like Gato, he was never dead to begin with! Even more, she would have been written off as dead or worse if she had stayed with Thaumata. But, what gets her is that he's attacking the fact that she's buddied up with so many non-humans on the ship in some fashion. Julia, Sora, Dita, Lily Rain, Samus, Timaeus, etc.]

I've learned there's more to this world than being grounded on the Earth, Victor. Those people you've mentioned are good people. They're here to help!

They're also here to sanitize the image of aliens! Have you even been paying attention? The whole of Karaba... just a front for Percolatii to destabilize the Federation! You've got your head in the clouds, Chrissy, and it's gonna get you killed if we don't bring an end to it.

[And at that, he shrugs.]

... But then again, I'm digressing. O'hara, were you able to get the Solstice?

'Course we were! It still needed some repairs but the captain was a stooge. We said we'd patch it up at our place!

Good. It's all set then. We got the Solstice and its pilot... we can finally get this operation kick-started!

WHAT?! Victor, dammit, don't do this! If you think I'm going to help you, you're wrong! Things changed - I've changed! Let me GO.

[Her struggles earn Christine a pistol-whip to the head, but almost immediately Victor's talking down the man who struck her.]

Hey... don't do that. Don't do that! This is Chrissy here! She's not really meaning that... she just doesn't know any better!

[He kneels down so he can look at her again up close, running a hand along her head to try to check the damage.]

Hey there... he didn't hit you too hard, did he?

[Christine easily drops to the ground as she struck by one of the men. She's in a major daze, barely thinking straight as Victor checks up on her.]

Victor... ow... what... that hurts...?

[She wants to fight back, but she can't think straight at the moment - that pistol whip HURTS.]

Hmmm... guessing you'll be okay in a little bit. Which is good! We don't need you to do anything except sit, watch, and listen.

[He turns to the others.]

Start uploading the Solstice with that Mobile Doll system that we got from Blue Cosmos. The sooner we kick-start this operation the better.

Mobile Doll? Wha...?

[Oh, this isn't good at all. It takes her awhile to think of what he was talking about - probably how Scirocco gained his little army to replace the Titans.

And there's probably nothing she can do, is there?]

Relax, Chrissy! Nothing terrible's gonna happen. Or at least to you, at any rate.

And if you were to refuse... well...

We're more than willing to give you the incentive to do what we want.

Victor... stop this... this is insane, even for you...!

[And at that, Victor laughed.]

Confession time, Chrissy.

Biggest reason I became your family bodyguard? Chance to kill Irgelions. Totally hate them and all their kind... been a member of Thaumata for years even! Even put in a good word for you a while back when you were working for us...

... Not that you knew, of course.

Wh-what? [And now things are starting to become clearer.]

You... why?! This doesn't make sense! All of this just to kill...

[Taking the Solstice, kidnapping her... Christine's eyes go wide]

NO! I WON'T LET YOUR HURT THEM! I WON'T LET YOU HURT JULIA!

[And at that Victor just backs off, holding his hands up.]

Now now, Chrissy! This isn't about killing Julia... of course if it happens that'll be one big thorn out of our side!

This is about dealing more with those pesky DSSD people who came to discuss things with her! In all of that confusion regarding Danconias, Herrera Futuristics has its autonomy back... can't have that especially when they're making things worse on us.

Besides, which would you rather lose? That Irgelion or your parents?

[Christine growls at Victor. This was extremely petty, even for her.]

...you're nothing but a monster, Victor!

And sticks and stones never broke my bones, Chrissy, so no offense taken.

But I'll be honest with you... it's not like we're gonna kill your parents, far from it! They won't be back until tomorrow anyways; doing a conference at some other colony. But it's more their reputation.

I remember you were really young when your mom was running for election here. Boy oh boy I was hoping that Irgelion she was against would do something stupid... but he didn't, and we had to keep things clean.

But your mom was running out of money. She was even gonna blow your college tuition in the campaign, can you believe it?

... But then here came along Thaumata, with some money and some affiliates that would give her the edge.

... See where I'm going with this, Chrissy?

[Thaumata helped her win. If they hadn't she wouldn't be here. None of this made sense anymore. Not that it had to begin with.]

No... no, it... I...

[she's a little stunned by it all, Victor.]

We're not asking for much... just the chance for you to change your mind. Just do that, and that little truth about how Administrator Bianca got in bed with a bunch of xenophobes to win an election -metaphorically of course- will never be known to the world at large.

All we need for you, Chrissy, is to just sit inside of the Solstice... the AI will take care of everything else.

Heh, thanks, Laura... Just hope the family's home. I think they'd be thrilled to see me...

It's funny - we met you and Julia at different times and places both far away from here, and yet here you both are home again. Meanwhile some of the crew born and raised on Earth haven't gone home since they came aboard despite it being a fraction of the distance. Life's unpredictable, isn't it?

How surprised do you think your family will be by... well, everything?

...I really don't know. I'm just hoping they're going to be accepting of me and Julia...

[she looks away awkwardly.]

...less that it's two girls and more she's an alien.

So you and Julia... congratulations.

[And now, she's embarrassed. She actually blurted it out.]
