[ Char had been sedated following his bout with depressurization sickness. He also had two cracked ribs from Hambrabi's tail spike piercing his cockpit and pressing the control console into his chest, but his injuries weren't life-threatening, and he was expected to make a full recovery.
That night, however, Char was having strange, vivid dreams, not just caused by the sedative. A familiar voice was talking inside of his mind due to where they were (Solomon), and because of the massive amount of death in the area. This was what Char was dreading. In his dream, he was surrounded by shadows burnt onto the ground by a nuclear blast, four of which resembled Haman, Kamille, Mineva, and Cynthia. He's starting to wake up, though. The last thing he sees as he begins to wake up is Lalah's smiling face, telling him it's not real. ]

[ Char's awake. He's stuck in the infirmary for another 24 hours for observation, and he's on some mild pain meds for the broken ribs. But... he looks depressed, disheartened. Maybe a little discouraged. Talk to him? ]

After her talk with Cynthia, Haman had come straight to medical. There was so much on her mind, but she knew, that where she needed to be was here. Even just sitting next to him, tracing the strong line of his jaw with her eyes, Haman could feel herself cracking.
She reached out a hand to touch his arm, but he moved, turning slightly, his face pinched, and she withdrew her hand sharply.
A dream....
When she noticed his eyes start to come open, Haman stood up and leaned over him, her eyes still red, and her cheeks flushed.
"Char...?"

His hand feebly comes up to her own. His stomach is still churning from the nausea, but he should be okay.

Haman seized his hand tightly, when he reached out, her hands trembling.
He looked like hell, but he was alive, and that was what was important.
"I'm here." She whispered, her voice soft and warm, and shaking.
She fell to her knee beside the bed, gripping his hand, and resting her other arm on the side of his bed.

As in, he's been shot three times, one of which was a through-and-through and another perforated his lung. "But... thank you. I love you... Haman."

It wasn't that she thought he might die, but at a moment like this she needed him, and he would be unable to provide. It would be unfair to ask at such a time. His injury and defeat was only the straw that broke the Haman's back.
"I love you too, Char." Haman coo'd back softly. "How are you feeling?" It was probably a stupid question, but just hearing his voice made her feel a bit more centered, the stroking of his thumb bringing her back to safe place he had held build inside her heart.

Char... are you okay?
no subject
I should be fine. My ribs are broken, so I'll be in a brace for a while, unless Yoshika wants to heal me.

[Her expression darkens.] I was more concerned with what that Delaz was up to, admittedly.

[ Char coughed a bit, and then winced in pain from his broken ribs moving. ]
How did... Axis respond?
no subject
Axis... There was a long statement about condemning Delaz's actions, and they stripped him of his rank. I think they're just trying to make sure they aren't blamed for it, but... frankly, I think this will be bad. No matter how they spin it, that was a nuclear warhead.

How are you feeling, Mr. Aznable?
no subject
My ribs hurt, but I've been through worse.
what kindof injuries does he have?
Th-that's good...[She begins pulling out the results of the x-rays from under the clipboard she's carrying.]

May I ask why you're my doctor instead of Sayla? No offense, of course. I'm just curious as to why my sister hadn't visited me yet.

You doing all right? The battle got so spread out, I lost track of you...I'm sorry, it won't happen again.

[She blinks back tears.]
Y-you're not allowed to die to something so trivial as that...you're the Red freaking Comet! Axis needs you too much...
[Sis and I need you...]
no subject
Cynthia, I'm the last generation's hero. But I don't plan on dying anything soon.
[ Char squeezed her hand. ]
When Dr. Zero lets me leave, I'm going to need someone to take care of me. Mio isn't around, so I guess that leaves you. Okay?

[She knew she was late, though she makes it a point to check in on injured after a mission]
"I'd offer you water, but with your condition that may hurt a bit."

[ He sits up, leaning his back against the pillows. ]
It's just a few broken ribs. It's not as bad as it looks.

[She looks at the comet.]
"Make sure you get rest. I seen your associates running about with bags under there eyes. I should also tell them too..."

The room is secure. Some things have come to light regarding you, Char, I was hoping you'd be able to answer these questions.
Who are you?
no subject
Not you, too.

I know the basics, I have no interest in holding it over your head. Besides, I have a feeling I know why you decided on your current course of action.
Your sister wasn't happy with my decision to join Zeon, and... regaled me with your circumstances. I know that Char and Sayla can't be your real names. That's what I'd like to know. Who are you?
