Post-Mission Frustration pt2

[1 - Shirley or Tsukasa]

It's an odd sight, seeing Kabuto carry Shirley onto the ship with her wrecked strikers still mangled on her feet. But gently, he sets things her down and replaces the strikers into the bay for her. Shirley's got this sort of forlorn expression at the damaged engine.

"Gonna take a while to get it repaired.... if it can be repaired. Looks like I totally blew out the magic engine."

"Sorry. I'd offer to let you borrow Blade but I need my belt. I'll leave you with that." And with that, Tsukasa walked off, having said his peace and leaving Shirley to sigh.

[2 - Shirley]

You can find her later, disassembling the wrecked strikers and checking the components. Some of them are set aside into a salvage pile, the others, well, they were just junk. The actual components in the salvage was very small as most of it was being consigned to the trash heap.

"Damn... this is going to be tough without getting a whole new striker built. I should check if we have brooms left."

[3 - Tsukasa]

Kabuto's still wandering around. He keeps wondering to himself why he didn't interfere. His wandering takes him from the deck to the mess hall, and then to the Hikari Studio. He hadn't even bothered dropping out of transformation, simply dropping the helmet and making himself some tea.

"After all this, I'm still going with Mio. What the hell is wrong with my priorities..."

"Shirley!"

(Yoshika had seen Tsukasa bring the other Witch in but wasn't sure if she should disturb her. She waited to talk with her when she thought things had calmed down.

Of course, finding her disassembling her Striker proved that things hadn't calmed down.)

"Are you okay? What's wrong?"

Hey Yoshika. I'm fine, but my Striker's toast. It overloaded and broke upon impact. [Shirley sighed as she removed another piece that was falling apart.]

(Yoshika hugs Shirley tightly not too long after she's removed said piece.) At least you're okay, right? I'm sorry for what happened to your Striker, but it can be replaced. You can't.

Heh thanks Yoshika, really. [Rests her hand on the girl's hands that were around her shoulders.]

I'm fine, just a little shook up. My shields took the brunt of it. Which reminds me, don't use a witch barrier and a round shield at once. It'll short out the engine.

Mmn! (She didn't move for quite a while, just wanting to be there for Shirley however long she felt was necessary.)

Eh? A witch barrier and a round shield? I-I'll remember that!

"SHIRLEY!" Have the Rominga Witch practically tackling Shirley hugging her tightly.

"You're okay right? I mean other than the Strikers..." Of course she's more worried about her than the strikers, they can be fixed.

[She bit her lip about that, and just held Shirley.] "I heard that, I was listening to the coms with the battle..."

"Maybe we can fix them right? The Strikers? I mean there's got to be enough parts from the others."

I dunno. [Looking at the heap, she shook her head.] I not only crumpled them upon impact, but I blew it out completely overloading the magic engine.

I know. At least they went out with a bang. I'm going to ask Mio to add this to the list of requisitions.

Yeah, I did. A shame it had to happen now since I have no replacement for them right now. You can only fix a striker so many times before it gives out on you.

Naw, here take a look.

[placing her hand on the engine it sputtered and shook and then suddenly exploded, sending up piles of black smoke into the air.]

Magic Engine's overloaded, and it won't turn over anymore. Without it, I can't even fly. That was my fault for using two types of magic at once.

[Everything's just gone all belly up between the two events. Hana's trying to piece everything together, but she catches Tsukasa first.]

I'm... worried about Arika. I went out to look for her but I can't find her anywhere. Not in the immediate vicinity. And I need to go with Mio and... [He let out a tired sigh] I'm holding onto my Rider form cause I'm stressed too.

Ren walked into the studio, with a worried Kaze in tow.

"Still no word from Arika?"

"Nope. I can't find her anywhere. She's pretty much well out of range. And I hate to leave this hanging, but I'm probably going to have to cut it short."

Kaze was whining and moving over to Tsukasa.

Tsukasa reached out and rubbed the dog's ears a little. "Thanks. And don't worry Kaze, I'll be back before you know it."

"He really misses Arika. Hasn't been a day and all."
