Well... it's my job to... learn about the people on this ship. And I find that it's far easier to do so when befriending them.

But that presents another problem, doesn't it. Everyone's conflicting personalities, and their backgrounds... it's hard to properly gauge how to approach them to ask about them.

There seems to be the underlying problem then, isn't it? Making friends is never easy, and anyone who says it is, is probably some kind of machine. As it stands however, getting to know people can be difficult or easy, depending on how you deal with things.

People came in from the outside into his world. Perhaps all what you need is the right prompt, or the right impetuous to deal with as needed. Making friends requires a certain investment of time, like making deposits and withdrawals.

So... you don't think my newspaper is much of a good idea then? I don't plan on quitting so easily, mind you, but I didn't hear much of it after it's first publication.

It has potential as a avenue to get into the stories that happen here. However from what I saw it could easily get into intrusive levels. As someone who knows that many have things long buried, it could work though.

So I have to be careful with what I ask and what I publish. That's reasonable enough. I have a recording on file, asking how Lily felt about her new look. I might've asked something a bit personal there but, when she didn't answer, I didn't press it.

That's right, no harm there. As long as you don't get too intrusive with people, they'll relax and open up a little better.
