[It had been a long month since the final fight with Adventus. In the span of a good two weeks, Hana had been punched in the gut, slapped in the face twice, kneed in the gut, threatened with a knife, had to climb a mountain and ended up helping fight off a small militia that left her bandaged and sore - and netted her an interesting flower-like scar on her back.

Now, she was tired of sitting around and waiting. On the deck of the White Chalice, the Desu Tsubomi, repaired but not been touched since Hana's return, stood on the catapult, ready to be launched. She wanted to see how well she could handle things now, Seiren's orders be damned. She knows that once she's back on her feet, Seiren was going to put her through some training. And she resolved to put her foot down and take back control.

For now, she wanted to fly once more.]

Nanohana Himesaki! Desu Tsubomi! GOOOOOOOOO!

[And with that, the Desu Machine rocketed off into the sky, the Desu Wing appearing once more, letting Hana fly through the sky effortlessly.]

Free... it feels good to do this again...!

Ah...! [Hana starts blushing furiously] N-No, no, y-you don't have to thank me! Really! I... just wanted to help.

[Carefully, she goes to give Laura a hug, trying to make sure she didn't harm her.]

[Laura returns the hug forthrightly - she may still be tired and bruised, but she's no longer exhausted and fragile, and wants to put Hana's mind at ease a little.]

[It does put her mind at ease, knowing she isn't as bad as she was when she first returned. After a bit, she pulled away and finally dismissed her flight suit, returning to her normal clothes.]

...if you don't mind me asking, what were you doing when I got back?

Oh... Samus asked us to work on some new weapons in case we run in to Metroids. It's fiddly stuff that I can't be much help with, so I'm just trying to make sure we have the parts we need for the designs were using. Going through the storerooms, taking stock, tabulating everything... I didn't know you could go cross-eyed with one eye, but...

...you shouldn't strain yourself like that, Laura. Even if you're feeling better, you can't rush. I should know so...

[The eye does catch her attention, though.]

Um... your eye... is it...?

It's not a strain. I mean, it's not tiring, or taxing... it's just boring. Trust me, I'm taking it easy, or else there's a lot of other stuff I'd be doing around the hangar instead.

It's healing. I won't go in to the gory details, but once I'm using my armour again it shouldn't even leave a scar.

[There's relieved sigh leaving Hana's lips - that's what she wanted to hear, that everything was fine.]

That's good to know. I was starting to wonder...

You think we could do something if you were bored? I don't mind at all...!

The work's important, but... well, I'm not going to do much good if I mess it up because all the numbers are starting to run together. I could eat, or if you had anything else in mind...?
