Would it have been too much to have built all the ideas into one machine, instead of wasting time, resources and probably lives building five of them?
It sounds a lot better to have one well-rounded robot than give completely specialized ones. Because you're just never going to know what situation is going to happen in a battle, and if you're specialized for the wrong thing... you're going to loose.
