Well, we're almost home...or what's left of it. I need to get out of here and meet up with that kid when we get to Tokyo-3, so I better ask this now.

Mr. Radcliffe? Mr. Shiun? Can I possibly talk to both of you in the arboretum? I know at least Tohya is still getting settled in with his new job, but...there's something I need to ask both of you.

[If either of the boys actually responds, they'll find Misato hanging out in the Arboretum, atypically in-uniform, but looking more thoughtful than authority-figurish.]

I wanted to meet with you two, since there's a chance I'll be heading off the ship tomorrow, and there's something I wanted to ask both of you about.

The two of you...you've both spent quite a bit of time in Antarctica, right? Or what's left of it?

We have something in common. After all, even before the Festum and everything else, 'Katsuragi' was a pretty rare name.

And we've heard the stories of the Katsuragi expedition. I can tell you that more than a few of the station's staff were uneasy going down there, though I don't mean any offense.

So what's on your mind? I'd imagine you didn't call us both here just to confirm we lived in the same continent for part of our childhoods.

Doesn't the fact that we all ended up here seem a little bit odd to you? Even for a brief time, the odds of the children of three scientists looking for the same phenomenon in the same place winding up on the same ship seem a little long.

Maybe I'm just being professionally paranoid, but yeah, I did just want to make sure you two were who I thought you were.

[Tohya isn't really sure what's going on. Yeah he has heard about the Katsuragi expedition... but he was younger than Josh and doesn't really know any of the details.]

[Josh wasn't much older, to be fair. But hey, he'd stuck around longer and Felio had gone on enough about how Second Impact had helped make unearthing secrets hidden under the ice all the easier.]

Wouldn't be the first surprise hand that fate's dealt Tohya, to be honest.

But as for me, I'll just chalk it up to how my life's wound up. I've met quite a number of memorable figures in my time. Maybe there's just something about me. And you're a high-ranking officer of pretty much the biggest thing left in Japan.

Still, unless I get new orders from the big bosses, I might be leaving the ship tomorrow. It'd be a shame to waste this opportunity to get to know each other.

I don't think either of you are old enough to drink, but I can definitely figure out where to find some food.
