Few words, many thoughts
1.
[That last mission sure did take a toll on Devon. But she is not going to let something as minor as full body pain and exhaustion keep her down. The Shifter is being a roadblock, lying down on an arboretum path, a pile of papers in her hand. And she's busy pondering.
Pondering on how frustrating the fight was. Damn those little girls and their ridiculously overpowered machines. And yet, everyone prevailed. Eri and Nanohana managed to not have everyone killed, working in unison. Being saved by teamwork, while unable to do anything by her own... Devon is not sure what to think about this.
Also, was the whole thing worth it? It was an obvious trap from the start, but to think that only one of the hostages was real... they lost Imber, and managed to save only a single person. How fair is this a trade? Was it worth it?]
Yes.
[Devon browses through her stack of papers. They seem to be mecha blueprints.]
EDIT: Surprise shanenigans prompt
2.
Sss.... stupid...
[Stumbling around the corridors, Devon is too unstable for it to be mere fatigue. No, it seems someone had the brilliant idea of feeding the Shifter alcohol. The poor drunk will eventually crash in a bed - if mercifully directed to her own room. Otherwise, who knows what may happen.]
