[Locked, unless you have a reason to be around (Which you probably don't since this isn't the same city as Werter). This is another cutscene, though people back on the Chalice are free to see the sky freaking out]

[Meanwhile, else where far away, a young boy with goggles is boredly listening to two of his friends arguing when he hears a strange melody.]

Is that... music?

[Inside the music it's almost as if he can hear a weak voice calling out.]

I'm... gonna die...

[His eyes widen, and he stands up looking for the source of the voice.] Who are you?!

You... you can hear me?

[He continues to look around.] Yes, who are you? Where are you?

Why bother? I'm gonna die anyway...

[The voice groans in pain] And I'm not even close to becoming King yet...

King...?

[And that's when things begin to go nuts around them. There's the sound of static and suddenly a bunch of people start screaming and shouting. Looking up, the boy can see why. Someone's car is sticking out of the side of an office building, several stories off the ground. It almost seems as if it phased through it, as neither the car nor the building seems damaged. He runs over to the building.]

What the...? How did that car get up there?

[At that point electronics all around him begin to go insane, and the sky above them flashes between normal and a broken green digitized mess]

What...?

… Jump to the right!

[This causes the boy to refocus on the car, which has dislodged from the roof after someone in the office building pulled the driver to safety and is beginning to fall towards him. Moving quickly, he jumps out of the way just in time to avoid getting crushed as it lands.]

Jeez, that was close...

Lucky break for you, huh? …

[The boy looks up to see red static coming from a near by alleyway. Standing up again, he follows it and sees a small staticy image of a strange red creature he's never seen before.] There you are!

[He runs up to it and scoops it up.]

You're... that guy from earlier... I'm... just about used up... can't... hold on much longer...

Hey! Hang in there! I don't know what's going on, but there has to be some way I can help you. After coming all this way, I can't turn my back on you now!

[The creature laughs weakly.] That almost brought tears to my eyes... You're a soft-hearted bastard aren't you?

You should talk. You're the one who saved me even though you're dying.

Heh, I guess we're birds of a feather then...

Yeah...

[With that, the alleyway is suddenly bathed in bright green light, the boy stands, squinting against the glare, but as it engulfs his surroundings it stops hurting his eyes as much. A deep, disembodied voice speaks to him through the light, as a strange device appears in the air before him.]

Boy... do you wish to save the melody of this life?

Yes, I do!

What is your name?

[He answers without hesitation] Taiki Kudo!

[The name echos through the air, and the device turns red and floats closer to him.]

Use this X-Loader.

[Taiki reaches out and grabs it, and the light flares up again.] Whoa!

[The X-loader loads the creature into it and then sucks Taiki into a portal, causing both it and him to disappear from the alleyway as the light fades out.]
