If the food crisis is as bad as it seems, I can always ask Axis to donate some prefabricated military rations, or some non-perishables. They won't taste very well, but they're nutritious enough to nourish people who live in space. I can't promise that Axis will be willing to donate, but I had thought that it is worth a try. So, consider this my request for permission to contact Axis, if Ayame, Dan, or Captain Weston do not mind.

[ Char is busy overlooking the Hyakku Shiki. Although it's repairs and paint job were completed before the ban on 'unnecessary repairs', he has nothing better to do than stay here on the hangar, to resist the urge to make himself something to eat. He had been through worse, after all. The red Hyakku Shiki was imposing enough, and the black and gold Zeon emblem on its left shoulder looked strange in the dim light of the hangar at this hour of the night. He wasn't much for the whole social butterfly thing at the moment. In fact, people might have noticed Char was... pretty out of it lately. Still polite and cordial to others, but it would be obvious to anyone who knew him personally that he had an awful lot on his mind. ]

Look out behind you!
Adette, yawns as she walks into the dark and nearly empty hanger, expecting to find some quiet time to herself, she instead find Char up working.
Her sleepy grin, turns into a devilish smirk as she come up behind him.
"I heard you're girlfriend left, is this how you take out your sexual frustrations, Uncle Moneybags?"
no subject
I didn't sleep with Asuka, though she's hardly the only thing on my mind at the moment.
no subject
"Ohhh someone's gets a little feisty when they can't have their caviar." Adette was glad to see she had already got his goat a little bit. "Ahh but she is on your mind, then?" Adette chuckled.
no subject
I ran into an old friend on Axis. Well... two old friends. You're hardly the only scorned woman I've had to deal with.
no subject
"Scorned? Oh Char, I'm so over you. It fact it's laughable, really, to think I could be satisfied with a man like you." Adette ran a hand through her long hair, completely forgetting why she was out of a bed at this hour in the first place.
"Pretty good at leaving a trail of broken hearts then? It must be the curse of being an attractive man." She was goading him now, pushing his buttons just to see if she could make him angry.

ahhh, small victories tasted sweet. But now, she realized, there was no one else awake but him to talk to.
"Oh don't pout, Prince." Adette poked him in the back of the head. "You're really bent out of shape over something. Come on, I'll be good, you can tell Big Sister Adette all about it." She sat down cross legged on the cold floor, and looked up at him, her smile both playfully fierce, and yet sincere and tender.
no subject
[ An ironic choice of words for him. But, Char turned back to her... though he didn't sit down. Instead, he leaned his back against the railing of the hangar's catwalk, and crossed his arms. ]
Fine... I'll bite. [ A sigh. ] How much do you know about the One Year War?
no subject
"Not much. We didn't get to hear anything about the world outside, when I lived in Siberia, ya know." In like an lion, out like a lamb, Adette thought to herself. It was fun to tease him, but it was also hard not to be kind at a time like this.
no subject
[ Char sighed. ]
At least, that's what I thought happen. When I returned to Axis, I found out she was alive. I don't know how, or why, but... it was her. There was no mistaking it.
no subject
"Well then that's the problem? She's alive! Isn't that a good thing? And with your little gal-pal out of the picture there shouldn't be any problems, right?" Adette leaned back, putting her hands on the floor behind her, her breasts straining the buttons of her blouse to near bursting. "Why are you even still here? Go swoop in on your big red, metal, steed, and sweep her off her feet. Thatis what princes are supposed to do, right?"
no subject
[ Char sighed. He then forces a smile, intentionally keeping his eyes away from her cleavage, not that she could even see them behind the shades. ]
Haman Karn has her claws in Lalah. Haman and I had a relationship for a while, and I still care very deeply about her. But... she's dangerous. Knowing her, she fully intended for me to find Lalah. I'm nervous about what she's planning. It's never simple with her.
no subject
"Wow, you sure pick winners, Char!" Adette, for a moment, was quite happy she didn't end up as another statistic in his shattered love life.
"Then why aren't we planning a rescue party right now? Is this Ham-mon is so terriable, shouldn't we be trying to ya know... rescue this Lalala person?"
no subject
[ Char sighs again. ]
Haman is currently the de facto ruler of Axis, while the de jure ruler, Mineva Lao Zabi, is still too young to actually lead Zeon. Haman was unanimously appointed her steward by the council.
[ A deep breath. ]
With our current state of opposition against the Titans - and by extension, the Earth Sphere Federation - as well as the Brittanian Empire, we can't afford to alienate yet another major world power, including the Principality of Zeon.
[ Char then smiles. ]
Haman may very well be planning some kind of elaborate revenge plot, but to Mineva, I'm still the person who helped her learn to play the violin. And Mineva's the only person Haman will ever listen to.
no subject
"You are a man with very complex problems." Adette nodded along as he told her the story.
"What if this Ham-mon person is totally over you? It's pretty self centered that assume someone else's life is completely consumed for revenge for something you did, ya know?" Adette shrugged her shoulders lightly. "It's all very complicated, and complex, I get that. You've done alot of things you're not proud of in the past, I get that too. Haven't we all? But really, you can't make a decision on what you should do with this new found knowledge, right?"
no subject
[ Char sighed, but smiled Adette. He appreciated what she was doing, and it showed. ]
I can't. I know how important Axis is to the war effort, just like with Karaba. I can only hope that Haman will keep this issue between me and her. I'm the one who abandoned her.
no subject
"And this is the point where I would try and cheer you up with a hummer, but alas, I don't think Micheal would appreciate it. " She shrugged again, and let her big blue eyes tell Char how she was sorry and hod no answers, but he had dug his own grave on this one.
"I see why you're still awake then. It must be hard to sleep with so much on your mind." It was only then Adette remember why she herself was out of bed...
no subject
Tempting, but I'm in no hurry to make an enemy of the president of Neo America.
[ He nodded. ]
None of this was Lalah's fault. She shouldn't have to suffer for my choices.
no subject
Adette laughed at the thought of it.
"Well it's an admirable thought. But we should be be old enough now to know that duty and fairness, and responsibly don't always correlate with reality." Adette's bottom was starting to go numb from the cold floor, so she got to her feet, yawning again.
"Ahhh now my butt is freezing!!" She rubbed it with both hands, trying to warm her cold skin. "Been a while since I've said that." She laughed again, how amusing the thought. How quickly she had acclimated to the warmer temperature of the ship.
no subject
[ He laughed at her next comment. ]
I'm sorry about that.
no subject
"It's not you fault I sat on the ground. I was coming in here anyways, before I knew you where here. I knew the risks." She grinned. "I had come to sit with my Knightmare... is that weird?" She ran her hand through her hair. "I couldn't sleep, so I wanted to be near someone who was stronger than me, ya know. The only person I assumed wasn't sleeping was my mech..." And then realizing she sounded as screwed up as he was, she sighed. Stress and pain effects everyone differently, but some people, they ways they cope with it, are the same.
"I do wish I had worn my coat thought."
no subject
I had thought Imber was the only one who could personify a mech.
[ It was said teasingly, a smile accompanying it to know he was only playfully making fun of her. ]
With the moratorium on unnecessary medications, I can't pick up any sleep aids. Poor timing for me to come back, wasn't it?
no subject
"And I'm completely out of booze too. Things are going to be pretty rough around here for a while. Not everyone is going to be used to going with out. I have a feeling this will be the first of many long, sleepless nights for us both." She rubbed at her butt for another moment, and then gave up.
"I've always thought as mech's like people. We have a special bond. With out me, it's just a hunk of metal, and with out it I am only just a girl, but together..."
no subject
I've never had the opportunity to ever get truly attached to one of my mechs. Though, each one was special in its own right.
no subject
"Blow em up to fast, eh? Maybe you should knock that off." Adette smirked. "Maybe you should stop giving you heart to women, and give it to the Hyaku Shiki instead. I have a feeling she might love you back more than you think."
no subject
[ His Zaku II was simply retired, and while the Gelgoog lost an arm, it was still onboard Axis. ]
I may just have to do that. [ He said with a laugh. ]
no subject
"But I've never destroyed any of my mechs. I told you I was a better pilot than you!" Granted Adette had only been the owner of one other mech besides the Knightmare Moon, but, who was counting anyways.
no subject
You certainly did.
2
Hey.
no subject
You should be sleeping, Artesia.
no subject
Eh. There are plenty of other doctors.
[There's a rather long pause before she starts again.]
...What about Axis was strange?
no subject
Lalah's alive.
no subject
...How?
no subject
I don't know. We didn't get a chance to speak, but... it's her. Axis managed to find her before I did.
[ She had to have survived the Gundam, right? It's not like it's an imposter... right? He'd know if it was, being a Newtype and all. ]
I'm worried, Artesia. You may not have met Haman, but... if she's got her fangs in Lalah, it's not good news.
