Kamille is currently looking up to the MK-II Heavy-Weapons-Type that he had deployed in initially just moments ago. He was wincing as he looked at what happened to the head, not liking the sight he was seeing.

"Fucking hell, who knew that we'd be ambushed like that?" While the Blade-Shield was able to survive, he realized that it would be awkward to use in actual sword-fighting combat. It was best to use it as a surprise weapon. As he reviewed what happened in the battle, he became lost in thought, and likely wouldn't notice if you came up to him.

Kamille gathers his nerves. What Char said to him, to lead the resistance against the Titans, is reverberating in his head. Him? Lead? He wasn't sure he could do it. But he knew someone who COULD do it.

[snorts] Oh sure, and just leave Dr. Hell with Robots he can use later while the civilians die by the millions, that sounds like a smart thing to do. [shakes head] It wasn't that I knew it was an ambush, It was that I wasn't able to do much when we were ambushed. I expended all of my ammunition in a game of 'Shoot down the missiles' against the first bot. All I had left was my beam sabers, the blade-shield, and the spare E-pac for my beam rifle.

Good answer. We saved a lot of people because we moved in quickly. Seems that sometimes even charging in blindly is the correct thing to do.

Well, you'll at least know what to do next time, right? Bring extra ammo. Or chaff, maybe. Do Gundams even have that?

Ambushes are ambushes because you don't see them coming. ...It's not an easy thing to prepare for them ahead of time.

Gundams are weapon-platforms, you have to equip them with Chaff if you want to use Chaff. [Thinks he can do something with the shoulders actually.] I might be able to come up with something, but I'm running out of room in the machine.

I'm more frustrated by how the ambush turned out for me. [motions to what's left of the MK-II's head.] I mean, I destroyed it with Char's help, but I wish I hadn't just rushed in to face it head on like that.

It only makes sense to target the head of a mobile suit. That's where the bulk of it's sensors are located... But it goes both ways. If you can learn to fly a suit while half blinded, you'll have an advantage no matter what.

True, but considering the circumstances, I'm fairly certain it was trying to cut me in half to begin with. I was lucky that I was able to target the elbow at all, let alone plunge my beam saber into its head.

Perrine H. Clostermann does not want friends. She's keeping herself closed off to protect her emotions.

I didn't know that. I snapped at her for treating Arika badly, and it blew up in my face spectacularly.
