First Date Jitters
(It's a good thing Shinji hadn't been around to hear a certain confession - being asleep is kinda like bring deaf! - but even if he had, possible warnings of an aforementioned debt's increase might've stopped him from doing anything rash.
Still, he's waiting with a hint of nervousness for Hoshi's arrival in the kitchen; no, he's not on duty, as he asked her out sometime after the whole 'guys falling asleep' debacle. He had never been on a date before, never really finding time to do so when he was younger and then his job as a reporter - or intern, depends on who you ask - kept him from doing so.
So, either Hoshi will pop in soon or someone will wonder what the hell he's doing seemingly twiddling his thumbs and looking around like he's gonna trash the table he's sitting at.)
