1.
[Prime can be found brooding and mulling over the recent news. He's the savior of earth, defender of humanity and the planet itself...yet he's utterly powerless against a meteor. What kind of cosmic joke IS this? 99.8% of simulations to destroy it on his own have failed...and he's not entirely sure he can trust the one time where he managed to hit some kind of critical weak point to shatter the thing in one punch-he didn't survive that either.]

Damn...Not even Reinheit's power can handle this. What a time for our cosmic gravity-manipulating giant to be captured...it's not like we can count on the Federation to handle this...

[He's going over the ship's manifest, if your machine would have even a 1% chance of slowing down a meteor, you can bet he's going to visit you.]

2. [Private, hackable, open to Alexei]

[PRIME has a fresh disc of information, featuring information on the current roster of most machines and pilots, but focused more specifically on Alexei's and his own machines. There's several ideas for new weapons and upgrades included, featuring some of the technology from the other machines onboard...and you can bet that all data from Reinheit's Gattai with Dita's Dread is in there, as well.]

The limits of Reinheit become more and more apparent with each mission. Surely, I can go further.

Further? What exactly are you proposing, PRIME?

Sup Prime? You're looking grimmer than usual. [There's Eri nomming on peanuts. Is she never eating lately?]

((Requesting hack to share with Veda!))

It's pretty obvious they're making it up as they go along. I doubt they've got a solution, or if they do, it's half-cocked.

Well I could, but like I said, removing the limiters on the Endless machines would cause more problems than its worth. If I don't spend time calibrating it, which we don't have, I could wind up wiping out the meteor and everything around us for a hundred miles.

If we can see it, the blast radius would be too big to contain safely. And the Desu's need specialized launch systems to make it back into atmosphere without aid.

Stupid random space rocks. I dunno, if I had more warning then maybe Hana and I coulda blown it up by now.

There's an idea, if it wasn't already too late to do that.

[identity profile] marinefashion.livejournal.com 2012-03-21 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
Nothing I can think of off-hand.

[[Hixar will gladly NOT provide any information on the GN Drives, though... As he copies information that PRIME took, as well as the information on the 'Heits, he'll express an interest in a non-pollutant drive that might be swapped in. Same power, but, without the contamination... and not a GN Drive.

Too bad we don't have Tau Drives yet... OH WAIT]]

PRIIIIIIIME!

[Here's the President rushing up to you. Skidding to a stop.]

I'm guessing you're trying to figure a way out to stop that oversized pebble aren't yo?

[identity profile] burningprez.livejournal.com 2012-03-22 11:05 am (UTC)(link)
We probably did... but I probably can't get my hands on it.

[Michael is looking uncharacteristically somber right now.]

Trust me when I say this Prime, I know how you feel.

Right now I want to make sure Earth gets the freedom not to get hit by a giant space rock.

If Richard didn't pull that coup on me you could count on Neo-America giving it's all to help out... now though...

[Michael just looks even more determined.]

Now we just got to think out of the box. We've got a ship full of heroes here Prime. Between all of us we could probably figure something out before things go into overtime.

As much as I hate to admit it, I have to agree... our enemies are getting stronger, and still here we are with our stock machines with simple equipment. Sure they're easy enough to repair, but they are limited by what we can do with them based on what equipment the League has. If anything, this whole excursion has been enlightening. We know we're not the most advanced on this ship. It's been humbling, for sure.

And as for you feelings... disregard them. You know our mission onboard the Chalice has no bearing on what the League has in store for us after they tell us to disembark. For all we know, the League may be using this data to do exactly as you said: build a NEXT with the capabilities that surpass all of the mechs on this ship.

If the Chalice truly is leading the world to the path of destruction, then the League will have a counter measure....
