Blood Legacy
After retaking the Nicholas Kerensky...
1)
Ranna lies in the infirmary, heavily bandaged. A stack of books is by the bedside table, presumably for her when she is awake. She has been declared to be stable by the infirmary staff and cleared for visitation. At times her Trinary members can be seen visiting her.
Visit her?
2)
The Wolf warriors on-board the Chalice are in a good mood, that is certain. They go about their duties with a smile, and even those has been known to be...quiet are a little bit more chatty. It seems not even the news of all the landing forces making it to Siberia could stop the buoyancy of reclaiming the Nicholas Kerensky.
A dropship arrive soon-after, not the routine supply drop from those who are aware of the schedule, but it unloads much supply for the Chalice itself - food, materials and medicine. Furthermore, several secured containers are unloaded as well - marked for the Goliath Scorpions.
With Ranna currently in the infirmary, Star Commander Alexia Ward has taken over Charlie Trinary in the interim.
Speak with the clanners/check out the new supplies/claim your containers?

[[Who in blazes is this handsome young man?]]

"Not too badly, considering the damage my mech took... Simon."
Same voice as the one Matthew called Simon, at any rate.

Ranna smiles a little.
"No offense to you, Simon. To them you are still a relative unknown, they may ignore any attempt from you to challenge them."
Then a chuckle.
"That will likely have changed after this mission though."

It's good to break tradition after all. Doing that is what brought me and Bro here, and what led to what was five years of peace and prosperity back home.
no subject
She does smile a bit though.
"Aff. Breaking tradition is not entirely a bad thing depending on how and why."

Alexia walks over, "As agreed upon - for obtaining the blueprints to the Undine, we will provide your cluster with them after putting them into production."
no subject
"My thanks. Let us hope at least one of those dropships came down near the sea. How is the Star Captain? Is she conscious yet?"
no subject
Alexia then nods, keeping a stoic face.
"The Star Captain is awake, though her current condition is not fit for duty."
"In Our Opinion." went unsaid, of course.

While he had five minutes of free time, he rushed to the infirmary.
"You gave us quite a scare there. We thought you might be taking too closely after your genemother."
no subject
"From what I heard, she was fighting unit commanders. My foes were in the same Trinary, not as strong as those, I am certain."
no subject
One of his meaty hands squeezes her uninjured shoulder, as if to convey not to worry about her home.
"Do not attempt to climb into a mech until you are cleared to do so. As the ranking Warrior here, that is an order."
no subject
"Unfortunately, I am not in your chain of command, quiaff?"
A faint chuckle.
"However, I shall take that into advisement. Now that we have successfully eliminated their naval element, I feel more secured in our ability to drive off the Falcons."
no subject
He genuinely wants to help the Wolves, but has an ulterior motive too: don't let any Falcon off planet so they can't report back. The Scorpions are not prepared for an exodus. He can't just tell Ranna that though: the Wolves would be insulted, as if he had declared them
taintedshameful to be associated with. Whether Ranna figures that out or not may be dependant on how many painkillers she's let the docs give her.no subject
no subject
"Suit yourself. The Heartvenom Cluster will not be adhering to zelbriggen though."
no subject
"Even the Falcons will not do that when this is their chance to wipe us out."
no subject
"Regardless, we have committed our full strength, such as it is, to the defence of Wolf City. They did not make landfall close enough to the ocean for us to use the Undine Suits but the Turpans should allow us to insert our elementals behind the line of their advance, allowing us to take them in a pincer movement...Get well, Ranna. And do not do anything Remembrance worthy at least until I get back."
no subject
It seems that even bed-ridden, Ranna has been keeping track of the siutation.

He pauses in thought, then shakes his head. "Neg, you have made your own legend this day. The alpha wolf who wards her pack against the enemies, not backing down, her bark and bite made all the more fierce with each wound and graze."
He grins.
"The Warding Wolf, you might say."
no subject
"Too early for me to have such a name attached to it."
no subject
He starts looking graver as he recalls a more serious issue.
"The Jade Falcons made landfall." He surmises. "They have nearly an entire Galaxy's worth of units."
And they're going to wreck stuff up with it.

"Given the threats facing the earth...Kairos Aspida, the Anti-Spirals, the Black Lodge, perhaps we can persuade them to work with us! Lola and the others...they saw the menace of the Anti-Spiral first hand! So–!"
no subject
Ranna sounds philosophical at that.

[ Caulder awkwardly peaks around the corner. The White Rabbit backpack isn't with him; just his tablet he uses to monitor activity on the network. All it's showing now is a screensaver with a bunch of small, chibi bunnies hopping across the screen. ]
Are... you okay?
no subject
The clan woman gives a friendly smile.
"I am to remain in the infirmary for observation and rest, but I am otherwise fine. I would also like to extend my thanks and gratitude on behalf of my Clan for you and your AI's help in retaking the Nicholas Kerensky."
no subject
[ Needless to say, he has a lot on his mind. A LOT happened in the cockpit of the Zeta-Plus, and he'd rather not talk about it, if at all possible. ]
I'm just glad nobody got hurt too badly...

My dad was working on her, along with IDS' top R&D department. I didn't even know she was... well... going to basically be a teenage girl until she the day the White Chalice saved us. I didn't even know she was that girl I was always texting and playing video games with.

"So is she unique, or did they manage to produce more of her?"

"I do not mean any offense, this Terra still has many strange customs to me, and the artificial intelligence we are used to have no personality to speak of, so I do not have a frame of reference."
