Breaking Things
[1] Maybe it was just a leaning of the Chalice to the side on a turn, or maybe it was a little turbulence through the atmosphere. Either or, while Shirley was busy working on her striker, a wrench left alone on the scaffolding that was near one of the bigger super robots was bumped off.
What happened next was a shriek of pain.
[2] Shirley's in the infirmary now. Hairline fracture, nothing serious but it would put her into a cast for at least three weeks. She was really not pleased, but sick leave was sick leave.
