So, that mean you always gotta hang out here in space, just... waitin for them to ...uh... do something?

Nope. Imber's gravity manipulation lets him cancel out and reverse the effect the earth's gravity has on him, and those rocket engines you're sitting on let him get up to space quickly.

He's got a payload mass of about 300 tons, but with his usual loadout he can do surface-to-orbit a few times before refueling.

...Though, if we have to re-enter that often, there would be some serious stress on his frame...

So... it flies, basically.
